Re: Weekly TTC Thread - 14th April
Hi everyone! I just thought I'd check in. We're not TTC this month - it all depends on if I am going to start my own business or not. It's all up in the air right now, and I'm not sure if the business is going to happen this year or next year. If it's a go for this year, we'll be TTC in the summer or fall. If the business is pushed off till next year, we'll be TTC next cycle. I'll keep you posted!
Marissa's doing great - she's talking up a storm and putting her thoughts together. She says "library go today, bye bye Miles" (a boy in the class) to tell us that she went to the library today and then we said goodbye to Miles. It's amazing that she's telling stories! She's growing up so fast!
Good luck to everyone TTC! And congrats Missy on getting a smile - it's such an incredible milestone! YAY!

Re: Weekly TTC Thread - 14th April
Fertility Blend must have done the trick for me because the last 2 cycles I've had awesome O's. I didn't take it this cycle and the verdict is still out on how my O will be. I'm thinking it probably will be like my pre-FB O's. I'm also still waiting to get into the RE.

Re: Weekly TTC Thread - 14th April
well, we aren't preventing anymore, I forget if I mentioned that on the last update. I'm still kind of hoping that I don't get pg for a couple more months, but if we do happen to catch the first egg out of the gate and it's before that, well, I won't be upset. Hard to tell what my cycle's doing right now, the temps are slowly rising over the last few days...guess we'll just have to see what happens over the next little while...here's a link to my chart, I'm not putting it in my siggie quite yet, just a little bit of denial I can hold on to

Stop teasing, lol. Looks like we are going to see some action (that isn't on the BD line of my chart) around here soon! There's going to be a few more of us trying, which is great.
AF is due tomorrow for me - WOOHOO! I am only slightly petrified at the thought of baby #5 Watch this space.

Re: Weekly TTC Thread - 14th April
Hi, ladies. Missy - sooo funny! I think you are right that it is Claire doing the "jumping" on this board!
How wonderful to get a laugh! Those baby laughs are just amazing.
Michelle . . . I guess we "scared" you onto bcps! With your history, perhaps it will be great for you until you are ready to ttc, and you'll have the same gl with a quick post-bcps!
Claire . . . welcome back to ttc!
Kerry -
Randi - what kind of business, if you don't mind my asking?
Marleah - hello!
I think I got everyone . . . if not, I'm sorry!
The last week has been rough on me. I started getting sick on Friday, by Sunday I had full-blown bronchitis and had to go on antibiotics and decongestants and new asthma medicine. It was nasty. I started to improve, but then I got worse again . . . because I'm resistant to the main class of pregnancy safe antibiotics. Leave it to me to be difficult! They tried increasing my dose, and that seems to be helping, and my fever finally broke. I've been doing these hcg booster shots . . . and go figure, I had an allergic reaction to them. I did my last one today, and I knew the other injection sites were swollen and itchy, but I thought it was "normal." Well, today I started itching all over, and my chest got tight, so I'm now on prednisone, too, to deal with the allergic reaction AND the asthma. Oh, and did I mention my whole body hurts from all the coughing I've been doing? I swear, if I didn't cough these embies into oblivion, or drug them to death, I'll be stunned. Every time I cough, I have these images going through my head - my uterus contracting like a trash compactor and crushing the embies, or flinging them out my cervix like a sling shot. I've been pretty down about all the things that went wrong this cycle, from the meds, to the embies not growing like I expected, and #4 not making it to freeze, and then getting sick, and the meds, and the allergic reaction. It all makes it so hard to stay positive and believe there is any chance at all this is going to work. So, I'm trying to focus on planning IVF #2 . . . if I get a pleasant surprise, well, FANTASTIC! Hehehehe . . . bet you are sorry you asked how I feel! Beta is next Friday, so I have to just get through the next 9 days, and then I'll have my answer! Hopefully, this week will be better . . . although I doubt it. We have DH's entire family passing through on "spring break" this weekend - and DH and his brothers don't get along so well. I'm making a big dinner, and you should see what a mess my house is! Craziness! And since his family doesn't know what is going on with us ttc-wise, we have to "fertility-proof" the house - hide my meds that are in the fridge, make sure we empty all the pregnancy tests out of the trash cans, hide the booklets, instruction manuals, etc., and hide my syringe stash!

Re: Weekly TTC Thread - 14th April
tkeys - what a crazy mess for you right now! Yikes! I hope you feel better and everything works out for you soon!
Claire - I can't wait to start stalking your chart next cycle!
Marleah - You are braver than I - there's no way I could TTC with a little one not sleeping through the night yet. I need sleep. To be honest, going back to waking up all night is the only hesitation I have to TTC #2!
Kerry - good luck! I hope things work out for you soon!
Michelle - the pic of you and Bethany is just gorgeous! She's such a sweetie!
The business would be my own preschool. I'm just trying to finalize the lease in time for us to do all the reno's and get set up for this school year. But the longer the landlord takes his time, the more likely it is that we'll miss out on this year and have to wait until next year. It's been very stressful for me, and I'd just like to know already if we're going ahead on this or not. argh!

Re: Weekly TTC Thread - 14th April
Michelle, we're not TTC this month - still using condoms. And FF thinks I already O'd, but I don't think I have yet. My temps usually show a significant jump after O. So no testing for me right now.

So we bought 4 more 8oz bottles and decided to also try a Dr Brown's and a Playtex Ventaire. We're pretty happy with all of them but of course the Dr Brown's bottles are a hassle to wash so if anything I might invest in some more of the Ventaire one's....but I'm not sure as of right now what I will do. Any BTDT's got any advice?!

Missy, I'm having a terrible time with the one Avent bottle we have. The ONLY time Emily has spit up is after using that bottle. So, we don't use that bottle and I'm so mad that I spent so much money on a bottle that was supposed to be "the best". We use the playtex drop ins, but Emily makes a mess when eating from those (not as bad as the mess from the Avent bottle though). The best result we've had is from the Nuk bottles. From what I've read the Nuk brand of bottles is new....while they've had nipples and pacifiers out for a long time. Emily does great on the orthodontic nipples and the Nuk bottles have wide nipples that simulate the breast.
Go Claire on the BD'ing - at least someone is getting it.
Good luck Tkeys - I can't wait to see the beta results!
randi - I wanted to do a childcare once too, and my ex was all on board with it then changed his mind at the last minute. I hope it works out for you.
tai - how's the mini pill work for you? I've got a few weeks still to contemplate birth control. I really want to do mirena but I'm worried about the cost...and the OB that delivered Emily won't put it in until 2-3 months pp.
Good luck to those ttc. I haven't even begun to contemplate a return to sex yet. Well, okay, I've been contemplating, begging, planning, wishing...LOL but I don't want to get pregnant again for a bit. I seem to be one of those women that gets pregnant when a sperm producing male breathes wrong in my general direction. Combine that with DH's super sperm and we're going to have to be really careful.
