Thanks for posting this! I was doing SOOOO well with the injectibles cy . . . but a little bad judgment from the on-call doctor this weekend, and the whole cy kind of tanked. Instead of raising my dose of medicine yesterday when the u/s showed I wasn't progressing, the dr kept me at the same dose, and today my lining thinned, my follicles shrank, and my estrogen levels tanked. So, I'm really not happy about that. So, tonight I was put on a double dosage, and I have to go back again tomorrow - hopefully to better news. I'm just worried that the doctor's mistake actually killed all my follicles . . . so, I'm a little bummed.

We'll see what happens tomorrow.

I am so apprehensive about this. I want to believe that the Doctors will listen to me but my heart feels like this is going to turn out like my other appointments recently.

My suggestion . . . go armed! I'd write out a list of ALL the questions you have, and things you want to know, and tests you want to ask about. Tell them about your u/s, the recommendation for bloodwork, that you've been TTC 1 year, all the pain you have during your periods . . . just write it all out. Bring your charts, etc.

Ask about infertility testing, PCOS testing, say who it was recommended by, ask about the referral to the infertility clinic, how you get one, and when. And don't leave until you've said everything you want to say, and asked for what you want. Be confident and clear, and they'll take you seriously!

But, I do understand your apprehension . . . I hope it is so much better. Be strong and remember you are your best advocate! It took me a few tries until I got someone who listened to me, too.

Eh . . . not such fabulous news. The lousy dr basically killed all my follicles, but there does appear to be one that may be viable. I'm supposed to do another injection tonight, then trigger tomorrow night, and IUI on Thursday. I'm not very optimistic about this cy.

It's been awhile since I've posted. I've been in a waiting game as most of us all are! AF hasn't been here since December 11!!! I have done the blood work and have BFN after BFN! The doctor wanted me to wait 8 weeks until I made an appointment, so I will be going tomorrow to figure what the heck is going on! I just want to get into a new cycle and try again.

Claire, the grandbaby is beautiful!!!

Intra Uterine Insemination. Basically, DH produces a sample, we take it to the doctor, and they wash it, and then insert it in my uterus to get his swimmers closer to the eggs.

Hi all,

Just popping in quickly to catch up on you all and to wish you a great week.

Not much going on with me this week. Just waiting for DH to go see his Urologist again after he has taken the meds he prescribed. Who knows what will be next. Praying it is something good.

Went to see the Dr. today. The look on her face was priceless!! She has NO idea what is going on with me. . .gives me lots of confidence! After giving me yet another pregnancy test which of course was negative, she ordered blood tests to test my thyroid and hormone levels. If they are all negative, then I have the prescription for Provera and we will start that. I hope everyone else has better luck with their doctors.

I'm sorry, mommy1923. Do you normally have irregular cycles, or is this just a strange fluke?

Normally VERY regular. . .hoping that it was just an off month, well more like 2 now! As if the 2ww wasn't bad enough, now I'm waiting for the DR. to call with the results. Any of you have experience with provera? I haven't done it before, what's it like?

Hey everyone. We're waiting a couple of cycles to start TTC. Probably until April. It might sound silly, but it's because of the due date. If we got PG this cycle, the baby would be due around Halloween, and that's near my birthday and my niece's. I think it would be too busy. And then if next cycle took, then my ILs would be away on a month-long trip, and DH doesn't want them to miss the birth. So we'll wait and hopefully get PG soon after that.

Also, I went to my doc last week and spoke to her about feeling PG but then the symptoms went away and it was a false alarm. She said it might have been a chemical pregnancy - basically you are PG, but then all symptoms stop and you get AF. She said she definitely thinks that's what it was since I had a very heavy AF with lots of cramping for 3 days. So it's not technically a m/c because it's too early to call it that, but I probably was PG (so I'm not crazy!).

Good luck to everyone TTC this cycle! dust

I'm still pretty new to the board, but I would love to get more than just updates going around, Chatty Threads are fun. I know DD is still not even 3 months old yet, but it is killing me to wait to TTC now that AF is back!
