Default Waiting, preparing & weightloss thread - thinking of Spring Edition

For most of you that is! Because New Zealand is firmly implanted into Autumn now, but the trees are still green, the weather hot and the beaches full.

I am on a mini diet for this last month of not trying. I am throwing a Fifties party and reunion at a big club on Friday to celebrate Fifty Years of our local Playcentre and my beautiful dress is getting a little tight. I only need to lose a few pounds though.

So this is my last cycle not trying and I am pretty excited about that We really don't want a Christmas baby as with four kids already, Christmas isn't cheap for us and we don't want to put an additional burden by having another child to buy for twice in the month. I refuse to drop my spoiling standards any by buying the children any less Also, my daughter Alice was due with Tyler on Christmas Eve and it was near impossible to get someone willing to deliver her. In the end we had to go with one person for appointments and take whoever was at the hospital for the delivery. Not a situation that I want for myself!

I have just had my pre-pregnancy platelet check (I have a condition which lowers my blood platelets) and they are perfect at that moment! 142, which is great because anything over 150 is normal so I am almost normal for the first time in three years.

So here's hoping that this month flies by. It will be interesting to see when I ovulate as I was so early last month.

I know what you mean about not wanting a Christmas baby! With 3 already, and 2 with November birthdays, winter isn't our favorite time to be expecting but we're taking that chance. Just sitting here, waiting for this cycle to be over!.
