Default Waiting, Preparing & Weightloss Thread - Christmas Edition!

Still waiting!

It's hot & humid here in New Zealand, but I have my hubby home for a long weekend so it's going to be fun!

My only real obstacle left to TTC next year is my stupid leg, of course I can't see my leg stopping me - whatever happens in the next few months.

I have lost a few pounds in the last week. This is my first week of being back on a healthy diet and already all my clothes feel more comfortable. I figure that I may as well spend these next few months slim before I get all beautiful and pudgy with pregnancy fat again!

I decided yesterday that I would really like twins next (in case my hubby never lets me have another ) - anyone got any spare clomid

Hello! I hope everyone had a nice holiday. I hope you leg gets better quick Claire so it doesn't hang you up.

I think we just had what is called a chem. preg. I was really sick last week, and if I hadn't been convinced we weren't preggo (we were preventing this month), I would have sworn my sxs were pregnancy ones - queasy, constipated, crampy, etc. So, I tested. The line didn't appear immediately, so I left the bathroom. When I came back a while later (2 hrs. maybe), there was a second blue line. I tested again the next day and got no line and started bleeding - heavier and clottier than normal. And I had the bleeding about four days before AF was due. I am not too upset b/c the physical aspect was easy, and we were not trying, so I wasn't invested. My later m/c were much more traumatic for me. It was pretty exciting to see that second line, however. I do think my LP is too short, and that could be the problem and could delay TTC a bit. DS still nurses quite a bit. So, that's where we are. We will probably still try this spring if all goes well.

I am waiting to ovulate. AF showed her ugly face this past Saturday! DH is leaving on Tues to work out of town for a few weeks...our chances will be slim this month because of it. I went ahead and took another round of clomid 100mg. I am on my 4th day of it today. DH will be leaving on CD11 so even if I ovulate on time around day 14 that still leaves a few days with no bding. It is possible though. I am calling today to make a follicle scan appt for CD 13 or 14. I'll keep you posted. Oh...I have been having a lot of EWCM today...I never have this much...kind of early for fertile fluid...we'll see.

Busy busy for me here the last couple weeks! My sister was in from Utah with her dh and kids for Christmas. They just left today to head home. I tried really hard to convince them to just leave my 9-month-old nephew here with me, but they took him home with them anyway. Lol! Called my doc's office Thursday only to find out that he is closing his practice to pursue a full time career in the ER, so now I have to find a new doc to have my IUD removed. This means I will probably have to pay a new patient fee just to have my stupid IUD removed. I thought I was pretty smart getting it put in after L was born too! Did I mention that I ADORE my OBGYN and feel like I will never find a new doc I love as much?

That sucks about the OB Amanda. I haven't found out what it will cost me to get the Mirena removed her in NZ yet. Mine will have only been in a year when I have it taken out so it turned out to be a pretty expensive form of contraception! Oh and I laughed when I saw your ticker because we are counting down to the exact same day but because I am in New Zealand - my ticker is a whole day ahead of yours, LOL! Good luck with your search for a new doctor.

I have already bought my prenatals as they were in the sale after Christmas. I can't wait to get started now!

Kate - Thanks for the update. for the Chemical pregnancy. I can imagine how you felt because even if it weren't the right time - the sight of two lines would still make my heart jump a little.
