Very confused by my chart?

OK, to start with, we are not supposed to be trying this month. All the BD that we had up until CD18 was using protection. After a nice clear ovulation I gave hubby the all clear to dive without a swimsuit, so to speak. The first thing that I noted was that my temp jumped up again on CD18 (this would be a more usual ovulation time for me), which also happens to be the day that we got jiggy without the condoms twice.

Then I get to yesterday, expecting my temp to drop right off ready for expected period today but my temp is still high. In fact 36.9 is the highest temp that I have recorded on a chart (even my pregnancy one) so I was pretty surprised, but not completely shocked as I have occasionally still had high temps on the day before my period was due.

Well, when I was at lunch with Alice yesterday (celebrating my birthday the day before) I got my period! A first as I have never had my period whilst my temp is still high! So I get home and log it into FF, ready for moving on to my next cycle.

Which brings us to today. I wake up, take my temp and it is still 36.9. How is this on the second day of my period? Then I go to the toilet to change my tampon, but there is no sign of AF anymore! Now I have never had high temps during my period so I have re-logged yesterdays bleeding as spotting.

So question? What do you think is going on with my chart? Is the ovulation day correct or do you think that there is a possibility that I could have OD'd later in the cycle?

12 days is the longest my luteal phase has ever been so I expect to see a big ole dive tomorrow if the current interpretation is correct. By the way, it feels like AF is coming so I don't expect that I am pregnant, just confused by what is going on!

Just wondering if I have been a bit daft having unprotected BD on my first cycle after the Mirena when my chart could be a bit funny.

i had my period the cy i got pg with bethany...the high temps is what made me test...that and i just had to be pg i just knew it!

it looks like you could have o'ed cd 14 or cd 18 tricky tricky! i would poas stick stista!

The funny chart could easily be that the Mirena just came out. If you used bc until day 18, I'd say it would be very unlikely that you are pg. That being said, to my inexperienced eyes, your chart looks really indicative of pgnancy. So I really don't have anything useful to add to the conversation, I guess, lol. I think your ovulation is correct on day 14.

Who knows? Stranger things have happened. How would you feel if you are pg?

I also think FF is correct with O date, and agree it would be unlikely you are pregnant . . . unless the condoms failed. I'm also one of those ladies whose temp does not drop until a few days into AF, so to me, a period and a high temp isn't really that weird. But, you could just be spotting, and your temp will drop and then full AF will arrive.

These things are hard to tell. If your temp doesn't come down, I'd test just to be sure.

Well I am definitely not pregnant as AF is here in full force. In fact I don't think that I have ever had a period so heavy! So you were all right, FF was right but my temp is still post-ovulatory for me. Maybe I am going to come down with the viral pneumonia that the kids have and that is raising my temp.

So onwards and upwards, this is my last cycle not trying so its sort of exciting I guess. This cycle brought lots of weird things for me, including the shortest cycle that I have ever had. It's a good reminder to expect the unexpected when it comes to charting.

Looks like your temp dove today. I'm glad you're not sick. I'm guessing your body is just a little wacky post-Mirena. Give it a cy or two (if you get that

) and it will stablize...
