Default Ultrasound Question

I was just sitting here working away, mentally brooding about recent events and a question popped into my head that I can't answer so I'm hoping you guys know more than me. If you're having a transvaginal ultrasound would you hear your own heartbeat? While the screen was turned away from me she popped the sound on for just a moment and I heard a heartbeat, but I've poas and nothing in fact related to my last period I couldn't be pg anyways so I assume it must have been mine?

I would think so, but at 7dpo there is no hear beat yet (but of course you know that) and if theres not a possibiliy of it being viable from your last cycle then its more than likly your heart beat you heard... good luck for the next few days though!

Sorry I know that seemed like such an obvious answer I had to second guess it.

hey man, I understand the really dumb questions... I can answer them till I am blue in the face, but if even the exact same thing happens to me I still wonder.

I would think so but why would they turn the sound on to listen to your heartbeat? Thats odd. Or maybe she hit that button on accident. Did they say anything to each other or to you when they turned the sound on? Maybe the 2nd u/s tech was teaching the 1st how to do stuff using you.

They didn't say anything to me, but they did stop and take a recording or picture or whatever then maybe that's why it confused me. Oh well whatever, right? I'll know for sure Monday and it doesn't do me any good to worry about it till then... like I could stop myself anyways haha

Things that make you go.... hmmmm, eh? I would think if it meant pregnancy by any means it'd be something they would have shared with you right then. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's something that needs to be shared with you. Maybe not by the ultrasound tech.. I think there are limits to what they are allowed to actually say. But, even if the doctor didn't have time to discuss your results with you that day. I'd say if you were pregnant and they saw it on screen.. at the very least a nurse would have been in contact with you at some point to let you know.
