After waiting half an hour in the lobby for him to get back from the OR and then another 20 min in the exam room waiting he comes in and tells me all that he is going to do. He checked my cervix first, fully closed excellent news! Then he went on to do the internal ultrasound (ouch!) he showed me where my little sac is starting to grow but we couldn’t really make anything out other than it was there. He told me he can definitely rule out and ectopic pregnancy and that it ‘appears’ to be in the uterus. He checked on my ovaries, first to the right and said that there was a small cyst on it but that was normal and was probably the one I ovulated out of but then he swings to the other side and says ‘Oh, there appears to be a small cyst on this one too’ he didn’t remark too much about it which leaves me to wonder double ovulation?!
He gave me forms to go to a lab tomorrow and Thursday to have beta’s done. But he wants me to come in Thursday before I go to get my second beta done, does that sound odd to anyone else? Surely he would want me to come in after when he already had the results? I’m confused so I might call and double check tomorrow.
But he said all looks well so far, they will check progesterone too when they do the hcg but that I am indeed pregnant and everything looks fine so far!
I will keep you gals posted, just glad to hear that my bean is hanging in there!!
that is awesome Missy! I am so glad that your pg is starting out well! I am sure if he thought something was wrong he would have told you. So you shouldn't worry, just relish in the fact that there is a tiny little life growing inside your womb!!!!

Congrats Missy- That is just so exciting. With DS I just saw the sac the first time... I know its hard not to worry but it sounds like everything is good Don't worry about the OB.. it just sounds like you have a good doctor and he wants to make sure that you are reassured.... KUP!! I cannot wait to see the Betas!!

Don't worry about the OB.. it just sounds like you have a good doctor and he wants to make sure that you are reassured.... KUP!! I cannot wait to see the Betas!!
