I am so excited to finally feel like I have a concrete plan of action. I went to my first appt with my new GYN today and she is just GREAT! She said she wants to be very aggessive with me because I have been TTC for a pretty long time now. She is immediately starting me on Glucophage to help me Ovulate (I only ovulated 4 times last year and so far haven't O'd since Oct of last year...it is March now!!!). She wrote a S/A request for DH and we are going to try to have that done next week. She did bloodwork to test my liver function (since she is starting me on Glucophage). She wants me to come back in a couple of weeks for an ultrasound of my ovaries to see how they look. I go back on Mon, March 19th at 8:30 for the ultrasound and then I see her at 9:00 to discuss the results of everything and to discuss how gludophage is working for me.
Yay Stephany! That is so great that you have a plan of action now. What is glucophage? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I am checking up on you and I can't wait to hear about how everything goes with your tests, etc..... Good luck girl!
Glucophage is the name brand for the drug called metformin (I believe). Because people with PCOS often have insulin problems it can help regulate them therefore helping to regulate ovulation.
