There's a great site called Fertility Friend that a lot of women here use for charting. When you sign up it has a tutorial and everything that teaches you all about your cycle and how to chart. Check it out!

AWESOME...Thank you so much. My next question was of course going to be HOW to use them, but if it has tutorials then I am all good. Off to take a look. Thanks so much!

Fertility Friend (FF) is really great for charting. It's simple to add your temps daily, and you record intercourse, cervical mucus, other symptoms, and AF (aunt flo aka your period). It will automatically guess when you've ovulated based on your input, so you don't have to really think about it!

Just a side note, I don't think charting will help you much if you're still on the pill. My understanding is that you don't O (ovulate) with the pill. So when you're ready to go off it, that's when charting will be useful for you. My doc recommended being off for 3 months before TTC so that your cycles can get back to normal, although you can get PG right away.

i got pg my second month off ( i was on for 7 months)....dh was off on tdy the first month so we missed it.
my doc wanted us to wait another month...so we just enjoied having sex for the first time in 2 years! and it finally happened!

i would start charting once you go off the pill...your charts will look different and you cant see a pattern.

good luck
