Default Wow Ladies!

First, to Barbara, Kristi & Kara ... was so happy to peek in and see such positive posts about you 3! Even tho I have already been blessed with my little miracle, Cooper, I still find myself popping in here and wishing I could wave a magic wand for everyone else. I am so excited about watching your stories unfold in the months to come. Congratulations!

Elizabeth, I was so sad (and angry) to read your story about what you're going through. I'm sure it must feel like a slap in the face to be treated in such a manner after all the good you've done. I pray that this passes quickly and your life can go back to normal.

Mommajac ... I'm so glad to see that you're still posting and encouraging and supporting ... just like the true HOST that you are. They may have taken away your title, but they can not take away your spirit or the support of those here who have come to appreciate you and depend on you while TTC. In our hearts, you are the leader and host of this board, and just removing the title from your name doesn't change how we feel! Keep up the great work!

I may not know all of you ladies here as well as others of you, but there still seems to be an unspoken bond between women in their 40's who are TTC, whether it's your 1st ... 5th ... or 15th!!! TTC a child is something only another TTC woman can understand. It's not always as easy as just not using birth control!! I think this place is a true gift for those of us who have been fortunate enough to find it.

I wish all of you much luck and many many blessings.

Leisa................... My heart is so full at the moment.
I will never forget the post you wrote me prior to my transfer
when uncertainity took over and I was worried about a million
things esp my age. When you told me that it was the quality
of the time Tom & I will raise this little one with that matters
not the quantity of time ...well Leisa this forever changed who I
was as a woman. It has encouraged me to put working out
first on my list to keep young for this baby. I am having a fetal
u/s tomorrow to see how many I am baking.
Your post has been copied and will be placed in my babys journal
to show him/her how I struggled to do the right thing.....prayed
and answers were showered. What an incredible mom you are.
Your family is extremely lucky.but I am sure they know this already.
You should write a book...it would be a best seller.
again Leisa!!!!

Aw, Leisa, you are so right! Something the women on my private BIN 2005 board just don't understand is TTC as an older woman and/or IF issues. There are now 8 of us pregnant from that board, but they all just decided to get off birth control and wham! they were pregnant.

I am the older sister in my family, and let's just say I just hope that Vivian has a much better time of it than I had, LOL. My sister is almost 4 years younger than me, and that was too much of a spread, IMO. I was more a caretaker than a friend to her with my crazy mother in the picture, especially after the divorce. Of course, Vivian doesn't have an insane mother and a terrible divorce in her future, and they'll only be about 2 years apart.

This baby's due date is 11/24, exactly 20 days after Vivian's due date of 11/4!

I have my first ultrasound looking for a heartbeat on Friday, April 6th. I can hardly wait!

Yay Barb for tomorrow!! Won't your jaw just hit the ground if it's 2?! How totally excited you must be!! You will be such an incredible mother and this baby (or babies!) will feel so proud and so blessed to realize how badly you & Tom wanted to be parents. What more could a child ask for than to be truly wanted? Nothing else matters. Even material things don't matter ... and my 14 & 16 yr old kids have proven that since DH lost his job last year. They've said they don't care if we leave our new house or how small the next house may be, as long as we're together! I'm by no means a perfect mom, but it's all I've ever wanted to be and it's the BEST job in the world! It won't be long and you'll see what I mean!!

Kara, my first 2 kids are 26 months apart and my second set of 2 are 27 months apart, and I didn't realize until recently how truly blessed I was to never have a jealousy problem with them. When my 2nd daughter was born, we kept finding our oldest asleep in the nursery in the mornings. When we asked her why, she said "Baby Mana sad. I sleep with her." So we put both beds in one room and turned the other in to a play room. They've been best friends ever since. It worked so well with them, that we did the same with the second 2, even tho they were girl/boy. They shared a room for the first 2 years and it worked out great. My oldest keeps asking me EVERYTHING we did, so she can practice with Ava, but other than the rooms, I don't recall doing anything in particular, aside from just making sure the older child felt as if the incoming baby was THEIR baby too! I remember many times nursing a baby while somehow managing to hold a 2 yr old on my lap at the same time!! Moms become almost Super Heros when adding another child to the equation! I'm sure you'll rise the the occasion without a struggle. I bet Vivian will make a fantastic big sister!

I can't wait to hear more positive news from you ladies!

Where did I come from?" the baby asked its mother. She answered, half-crying, half-laughing, and clasping the baby to her breast: "You were hidden in my heart as its desire, my darling. You were in the dolls of all my childhood games. In all my hopes and my loves, in my life, in the life of my mother, and in her mother before her, you have lived."

Thanks Mommajac ... I tend to play with my pictures a lot, as if you couldn't tell!

We're all doing really well. Ashley was in the hospital yesterday with some early contractions. They put her on an IV, gave her meds to stop them and watched her for several hours. Sent her home last night with instructions for bedrest the remainder of this week, and orders to return to the hospital immediately if the contractions start again. She's schedule for a Csection 5/29, so she's a bit too early to pop that bun out of the oven!

Ashley brought Ava here for Spring Break last week. It was a good chance for her to test Ava again with Cooper. Several times Ava told her "Ooper Gamma's beebee ... Gamma hold Ooper", and Ashley would give him back to me, but by the end of the week Ava was doing much better. It's still going to be very interesting at their house before long!!

The other kids are great, and we're talking about the impending move. With my Dad passing away, there is a strong possibility that we may incorporate my Mom into the mix. We're tossing around all sorts of ideas. It was actually DH's idea. He and my Mom get along really well, and since both of his parents are gone, he feels strongly about Cooper having a close relationship with his only remaining Grandparent.

I'm going to try to peek in whenever I get a minute. I'm so anxious to see all the upcoming news from everyone! It's all so fantastic! I'd love to be magic and just snap my fingers and give babies to everyone. It's a shame it's not that easy!

can really suck!!!

Oh no...that's too early. She got more cookin' to do. Definately.

It must be kind of humorous to watch Ava's reaction, but that poor girl probably feel threatened. I'm sure she'll warm up.

Did you tell us where you are moving? I think it's great that your DH wants to include your Mom. He sure gets brownie points for that, huh? How is your Mom doing?

It's gonna be so cool Cooper will have little and big neices and nephews.
