just wondering, did anyone have that test to find out about perimenapause or menapause?
My opk's say I ovulate, but with my cycles being different, I was wondering if I should have that done? Also, I am considering having the hsg done.

I think they typically go by FSH and irregularity of cys. There are over the counter tests you an purchase for perimenopause. I used one in the last yr. and mine was fine. I still Oevery cy, but it has been fluctuating lately. I'm usually a day 14-16 gal, but 2 cys ago I O'd cd 7.

In another post you had said that only your testosterone was off a little. Sounds like you FSH was probably fine. How off are your cys? I had an HSG in the last yr, and my tubes were still open. So no structural problem here.

I've had two FSH (CD 3) tests done -- the first was great at 4; six months later it was 11 which put me in the 'grey zone'. But, FSH fluctuates wildly so it only provides an indication of where you are in your fertile history. There seem to be plenty of stories out there of women with high FSH who still manage to get pregnant. As the level goes up, it means your body has to try harder to get that little egg out until eventually there are no eggs left in the basket and you hit menopause.

I've also had two HSG's. I conceived my son the month after having it done the first time. All was clear but obviously I had a few cobwebs that needed flushing out -- I really regret not going for that sooner. I had another one last year to see if that would help, but this time it didn't. Apparently all is still clear.

Jacqueline, you are such a resource for this board! I am low on testosterone. I have to go have two pellets on the 23rd due to my symptoms.
I don't know if he checked the fsh...guess I will check on that with him. I don't know, Connor is weaned now, so maybe that will help. Right now my cycles start a bit early and start off like a spot the first day, then day two-three really heavy, then lighter for a few days, stop, and then the next day or two (day 6-8 sometimes) the spotting again.
