happened just 35 minutes from our home. We live in a very small town so we do all our shopping in Christiansburg or Blacksburg. I just can't believe this happened where I take my kids to shop. We love VA Tech ~ we're HUGE hokie fans! I just can't believe this happened here! Our community is in a state of shock and we're all just SOOO SAD. I've never seen anything like it. It is just so scary especially when it happens so close to your own backyard. Anyway, just keep all the families who lost loved ones in your thoughts and prayers, they need it so much. Thanks!

It is just so, so sad. I cried when they showed pics of the victims and talked to their families last night on NBC. It just tears me up that things like this keep happening in our country. So, so sad!

My husband and I know this engineering student from VT named Jamie. Monday morning he was running late for his engineering class. When he got to the building and tried to open the door it wouldn't come open. Not knowing what was going on he walked around to the side of the building where he saw two kids jump out the window. Someone told us he loaded the kids up in his car and took them to the hospital. He is so lucky he was late! I still can't believe this happened. A lot of people around here are wearing their VT t-shirts, sweat shirts and baseball caps and flying VT flags on their cars to show their support. It's so nice to see people come together like they have these last several days. It just goes to show you there's more good in this world then evil!
