Re: September updates on PG mommies
I'm doing OK. Starting to really feel pregnant, LOL! My lower back is not happy when DD decides she needs to be carried all day - and she's 30lbs now! Baby girl is moving all the time, she's much more of a squirmer than Vivian was. My bursitis in my hips is feeling worse, but I suppose that is also par for the course. You know, it was MUCH easier being pregnant when I didn't have a toddler to chase after all day!
Baby seems to be doing well. My next appointment is on Thursday when I'll get the results of the 1hr glucose test. I really, really, really, really hope I pass this time. The 3hr was a PITA, and GD was just flat-out annoying In the meantime I'm probably over-compensating by making sure I get enough sugar in me to last the rest of the pregnancy if I do get GD! Donuts, ice cream, UGH! I just can't seem to help myself ...
Nesting has started in a BIG way. No painting or buying furniture, no, that is sissy stuff. I'm getting the whole fence replaced, a couple of retaining walls put in because our yard is sliding, researching hot tubs and getting bids on re-landscaping our back yard. Oh, and the rod in our closet came out of the wall so I got one of those Elfa systems for it and it's getting installed on Wednesday so I've spent the last 2 days going through all my clothes and have 7 kitchen sized trash bags full of clothes to donate. I found dresses that had *gasp* shoulder pads in them! Even a dress I wore for my high school graduation dinner in 1984. Like I'm EVER going to fit into a size 8 again. HA! And tons of Laura Ashley clothes from when I worked there in 1990 ... um, not really my style to begin with so WTH was that stuff still doing in my closet?
Anyway, I guess everything is going well!

Re: September updates on PG mommies
Hi there,
I'm doing pretty well too. Just the usual complaints I suppose.
I am having this baby girl on October 22nd at 7:30 am by c-section, and I'm counting down the weeks/days.
I have gotten so incredibly big. Because of it, I'm having such a hard time sleeping and I'm up to go potty nearly every hour! Not fun!!
I failed my GD test (both of them), so I'm eating according to plan and testing blood sugar 4 x a day, which I don't like. However, I've only gained 10 pounds this entire pregnancy (more than my doctor says he'd like), so it's interesting that I have GD when I'm not eating so much??? Weird!
The nursery is all set, and baby Reese has a ton of clothes. Just looking forward to my shower on 9/23
xoxo

Re: September updates on PG mommies
I cannot believe there are 6 of us now!
Well I have 5 more weeks as of today! Unless he decides to come early. We are almost finished with the backyard. I am so sick of saw dust everywhere. I have started to wash all his clothes which is a bigger chore than I thought because I have a lot of blankets and so on for work as well. I am just trying to do everything I will not be able to after the baby comes like going out to dinner, movies, and hopefully even going to Disneyland in two weeks with my son.
Overall, I have been feeling great until I came down with a nasty bacterial infection over the last weekend. So now I am on major antibiotics. However, I cannot complain since I have done so well. I feel a bit guilty for not exercising but was way too sick. I start again tomorrow. I am detirmined to be in good shape for after the c-section. I have gained around 25lbs and holding steady, I usually lose weight the last month so we shall see.
Welcome Anne!
I am also glad to see everyone else doing okay except for your back Kara, and your GD Lori.

Re: September updates on PG mommies
I am doing ok, just about over the m/s . After our scare with the SCH, I am starting to relax a little more now.
My official due date is March 30, 2008 , so I am now almost 11 weeks pg , I cant believe that I am nearly a third of the way there.
My clothes r beginning to get really tight around my belly and I have started to wear maternity pants .
Well, thats my update for now

Re: September updates on PG mommies
I'm still in the running! lol
My first midwife appt. is today. Dh hasn't had the opportunity to hear the heartbeat. This will be exciting for him, this is his first.
My belly is starting to get hard and poke out, it's becoming more real to him, alas it has been real for me since that first twinge of m/s two days before AF was due!!!
I've been plagued with all day/all night nausea with a few bouts of vomiting during the day, however, it seems my stomach is usually empty by then, so losing fluids and nutrition hasn't been a problem. I keep my food and drink down fine. It's just very very painful and annoying.
I have also been the lucky recipient of a nasty case of pregnancy-related carpal tunnel syndrome... in both wrists. It's hard to sleep at night and they hurt terribly or become numb. I have both in braces, and have been drinking lots more water and putting ice on them. The last two days have improved. YAY! It's a little early for this common symptom, and since it will probably not go away until after delivery, I am glad to see some relief.
I've been thinking a lot more about Down's and the like, so that's no fun. I won't be doing the testing, as it wouldn't affect my choices, but dh is all about wanting to open the presents LONG before Christmas, so that has really stressed me out. I don't mind waiting to find out what we have and whether the chromosomes are all in the most effective spots, however his desire to know doesn't mesh with my desire to have a low-impact, non-invasive pregnancy at ALL!
I've really calmed down as far as worry goes and pregnancy and loss and the like. I have honestly (at least for now) come to terms with: "whatever happens is going to happen anyway, I should just take care of myself and experience it all fully." Now if that dh would get on board! ;-)
I've been either sick or busy or asleep, so I'm not around much to update!

Well it's about time!! I asked for this back when I was PG with Kevin! Looks like they did away with the over 35 board. But all can post together.
