Hi ladies! I haven't been on in a bit, but I had some weird stuff going on. I'm not sure if I mentioned it in another post, but AF didn't come, and I was hoping it was a good sign. Well, I had a progesterone level test done, and it registered 0.1 which means I hadn't even ovulated yet. AF came 3wks after she was supposed to (BFN....I checked just to be sure after the Drs office said the level was 0.1), and I had a CD3 test done yesterday. I was impatient and didn't want to wait until the 15th to find out via my Dr, who is less than enthusiastic, so I called to find out the results. My FSH level is 13.8, which made me really sad when I heard it. But, I still have hope, because only God is the one who will determine if you have a baby or not....not some doctor!
I would like to know if there is anyone on here who knew their FSH level was at least as high as mine, and still conceived? I did contact another fertility office (Shady Grove Fertility, which is one of the best from what I hear), and have an appointment with them in about a month. They cannot be any worse than where I am going currently, because they really have -0- excitement about trying to help you get pregnant after a certain age.
Where did I come from?" the baby asked its mother. She answered, half-crying, half-laughing, and clasping the baby to her breast: "You were hidden in my heart as its desire, my darling. You were in the dolls of all my childhood games. In all my hopes and my loves, in my life, in the life of my mother, and in her mother before her, you have lived."

exactly what test did you do at home? I am a bit disappointed too. I just read about "your real reproductive age" and being almost 45 i do not think the #4 will happen. I do know this my cycles are and have been the same since #3 4 years ago, so i guess that is a good sign.
ok, so i pulled out some report I had from a dr. FSH in 2002 was 4.9 and in 2003 it was the same. It is now 5 years later, how much change could there be? Anyone have any idea? and progesterone was 16.4-whatever these numbers mean.
I think we stress out on the numbers!
I have heard of women getting preg. with FSH higher, but don't ask me when or where. That value can change slightly from month to month, but i don't know how much. Another thing to find out... there are actually 3 tests to help determine your chances. The second is the ccct where they do an u/s to check actual follicle development. I really don't recall what the last test is. Sorry, you'll need to ask your dr. or try looking it up. The results of those tests together give a much more accurate picture. I would guess that Shady Grove will be checking all of that, and discussing all of it with you.

The home testing kit is called Fertell. It has a sperm testing part as well as an FSH testing. I used it as my dh will not/can not go to the hospital to get an sa done.

My baby is an IVF baby, my FSH was high the cycle I got PG on, I can't remember exactly what it was, but it could have been as high as 15, but no lower than 11.
Just remember that FSH only means that you have a lower reproductive level (lower egg quanity), it has nothing to do with egg quality and all you need is one good egg.
