My Jewels....12/07
Where did I come from?" the baby asked its mother. She answered, half-crying, half-laughing, and clasping the baby to her breast: "You were hidden in my heart as its desire, my darling. You were in the dolls of all my childhood games. In all my hopes and my loves, in my life, in the life of my mother, and in her mother before her, you have lived."

Im here!! This wild weather has really set me behind in everything. I am one of those not so lucky ones that has gotten over 100 inches of snow in a weeks time. This can make a person VERY nervous when they are one week from having a baby!! I missed two Drs appointments last week. I couldnt get out of my dirveway let alone travel an hour to the city. The last time I was at the Drs (two weeks ago) I told him about having Sudo Tumor Cerbrei (the spelling Im sure is off). Basically it means that I have a false brain tumor. I told the Dr. because this is caused by an increase in spinal fluid pressure and if they plan to do a spinal for the Csection it may be important. Turns out it is VERY important. He was kind of in a panic with coming up with a plan in such short time. So...I now have an appointment with a neurologist tomarrow who hopefully will release me for the spinal. I truely want to do the spinal if at all possible VS. being put under as I would like to take part as much as I can in this birth even though its a Csection. Then on Thursday I go to the OB/GYN for my final appointment before the surgery. I have no idea what to expect there. I dont think he would have any reason to check the position of the baby or anything but possibly?? Then on the 20th I go to the hospital for pre testing and the 21st we are scheduled for 7:15 in the morning which means we need to be there about 5AM!! I hope to come home on Saturday. I am still measuring right on target and have gained 21 pounds. The blood pressure is good..no swelling at all. The baby has gone from kicking to outright slamming his rump around LOL. My stomach is always lopsided and if he cant get comfortable he starts slamming his bum around and around.

I am still around!!!!

Have 30 week appt on Wed. They wanted to wait and give me glucose tolerance test & blood draw then, but I suspected I was anemic & snuck into the lab 2 weeks ago. (last time they tested at 24 weeks, so I don't know why this office waits so long)...... I barely passed my glucose test & yes, was anemic so started on iron. Feeling better except the head cold going around.

Last time with DS, I was delivered by the Dr. who went through the whole TTC thing with me....the testing, the disappointments, the waiting, the worry. She didn't take my pregnancy for granted any more than I did. Now, I am with a Dr. that doesn't really seem to pay attention to my history or my concerns- like this is just another pregnancy going through his office. Sometimes I feel like shouting "Dude, it took me a LOT to get here and I feel this is my LAST shot at this. I can't just whip up another one if something goes wrong!!!!!...." .....just wish it felt like they were taking things as seriously as I am.

Realized we only have 10 weekends, if that, left!!! And some of those are taken up with visitors. We may actually be bringing a baby home soon!!! Better start thinking about what we need to pull together..oh, and a name might be nice! Still can't believe it..... hope to get another ultrasound even though insurance isn't covering them.

Baby Dust to you all! I know during the TTC frustration, it can be hard to read stuff from preggo ladies, which is why I don't post much. Even if I complain- I know how blessed I am and how all the worrying & discomfort is worth it. Best wishes

Karen!! I can't believe it's only a week away!! That is amazing! I hope they can figure out how to safely handle your PTC. I can't wait for your next update, birth story and perhaps some pics!! Have you decided on a name you can share, or have you told us an I've forgotten? Anyway, best wishes for your upcoming delivery. Can't wait to meet the little guy

Trace!! So glad for an update from you too!! You're really gonna have this little one. I always was anemic early on for my last couple of PGncies. Yeah... a name would be nice. . What are ou thrwoing around for options? Maybe we can help. Thanks again for the update and keep us posted now that you are in the home stretch. Hey!! You never gave me a definative EDD! Spill it.

My newest SIL is due tomorrow on Valentine's day! I'm gonna be an Auntie! Actually I already am, but this is the 1st one born since I've had my children. Awaiting little Oliver's birth.

I will go in for my 1st Beta on Monday and 2nd on Wednesday. I will update with #'s after I get the results. My HPT's keep getting darker so that is a great sign.
