My Jewels....12/07 Where did I come from?" the baby asked its mother. She answered, half-crying, half-laughing, and clasping the baby to her breast: "You were hidden in my heart as its desire, my darling. You were in the dolls of all my childhood games. In all my hopes and my loves, in my life, in the life of my mother, and in her mother before her, you have lived."

Re: August updates on graduate Moms, babes and children
Just dropping in with an update.
Today we go for our six month check up..yes thats right baby Collin had his 1/2 a birthday yesterday!! We are still BFing almost exclusively. We started cereal and had a problem with him keeping it down. It actually landed us in the emergency room one night. I was convinced that a baby of that size should not be throwing up that much but the Drs made me feel silly and told me he was fine. They did end up doing xrays of his belly and man that was tough. We have tried some fruits and so far he only likes bananas BUT we are dealing with blood in the poop again so I think we will be making a visit to his gastro Dr soon. We also have an appointment with a pediatric surgeon as Collin has had leg issues from the heart catherization.
He is rolling and sitting with some assistance-we still have him sit with teh boppy so as not to fall and bump his head. He loves to stand with his hands held of course.
I cant even guess what his weight is probably over 19 lbs at this point-we will find out today.

Oooh, but he's still a great size Karen! Happy 1/2 birthday Collin! Sorry he's still having GI issues. I'd be interested to hear what the surgeon says about his legs. He's beautiful.
