1. I am the oldest of 3 children, to parents who say they never wanted kids!

2. My bestfriend now has been my bestfriend since we were 12, and now our daughters are bestfriends too!

3. My ex-DH and I are very good friends and talk a couple of times a week (and not always about our kids)

4. I'm addicted to coffee ice cream

5. I've collected LadyBugs for over 10 years and it's the theme for my kitchen/breakfast room (my kids think I'm insane!)

6. My favorite color is purple (even tho LadyBugs are red!)

7. My favorite flowers are Lillies ... preferably Tiger Lillies

8. My GreatGrandmother, Grandmother, Mother and I all had our first babies at 19 (my DD broke the chain by waiting until she was 22)

9. My sister is exactly the same age as my oldest DD (only 2 weeks apart)

10. If I were 10 yrs younger I would have atleast 2 or 3 more kids. (okay, that one I may have already said!)

1. I found my DH in a TV repair shop in Italy
2. My DH and I's first language is Italian
3. I run my family's building material yard- 3rd generation

5. My 1st daughter is already engaged to get married

7. I am a licened steel contractor.

I just noticed too...I want to play...this one looks fun

1. I am the youngest (by a lot) of 4 children, parents were 55 and 40 when I was born...(sibblings are all in their 50's now!).
2. My oldest daughter will be 21 in two weeks!! AHH, even I can't believe that one!3. I lived in Germany for six years, between 1985-1991, when my exhusband was in the Army (two oldest kids were born there).
4. I LOVE tulips, my absolute fav flower (don't like roses..I have to be different).
5. My fav color is green...I have to try really hard not to make every room in my house green..
6. I am a Clinical Social Worker...though after graduating I got married and stopped working in social work to help my husband start his own business. My degrees are up on the wall of my office at his business, so I never lose sight of my identity!
7. I love LOVE to travel. We are going to Scandinavia and the Baltic countries this summer on a cruise.
8. I live in sunny Florida, but never go to hang out in the sun or go to the beach anymore because I'm afraid of damaging my skin. (It's just to hot here!)
9. I'm very goofy and playful....act younger than my age...(shock my kids with what comes out of my mouth...they say I'm the funniest mom...which I love to hear).
10. Was born and partly raised in Philadelphia, PA (we bounced back and forth between Philly and Florida a few times).

Lori, I'd be interested in hearing how you feel about having older parents. I guess not negatively, since you would like to have one at this age as well.

My sister was born when my Mom was 38 (pushing 39) and my Dad was 41 and she says it bothered her because they never wanted to do anything fun. (My parents always seemed old, even when they weren't)

Hopefully Cooper won't have that problem, because DH and I act like kids all the time ... we are very goofy & fun ... some times to the embarrassment of our children! But then again, what's the point in having kids if you can't embarrass them a little, right?!

7. My great grandmother died while my mother was PG with me. I was PG with my oldest when his great grandmother died. I fear I will never see great grandchildren either.

I'm sorry, but I'm probably not the right person to ask about having older parents. My parents were not good to me, so at the time I to equated their poor choices with their ages. But that had nothing to do with how old they were when I was born, they were just not good parents.

My husband and I have a lot more to offer a child then my parents did, partly because we are much more developed people. And, this baby was planned; I was not. I really think that if a child is loved and their needs are paramount to their parents, the child will be happy, and their parents ages will be irrelivant

LOL, we'll see ... so far I'm not showing at all, except for wearing the next size up in my jeans. Weird, though, my fat jeans are fitting me perfectly around the waist, but my thighs are swimming in them when they used to bulge out of them

I've actually lost 5lbs, but that's probably a combo of the nausea and the breastfeeding.

You probably don't know a lot about me since I just recently started posting here and I don't post a lot.

1. I am 40 soon to be 41 on 5/17--yikes!

2. I have two beautiful boys 14 and 10

3. I remarried almost two years ago in September

4. I've never been so in love in my life as I am with my DH

5. I Love God immensly!

6. My mom died when I was 6

7. I really want to have a girl, but DH wants a boy and that makes me want to have a boy because he wants one so badly. Of course either little sweet angel will be fine

8. I was raised by my grandparents.

9. I working on my Master's Degree. Plan to take a break from classes this summer.

10. Even though I have posted a lot lately, I love to read the posts and keep up with what's going on with everyone
