And, we found the cause for my bleeding, it was indeed my placenta. I still have pockets of blood that may absorb back into my body, or I may have another episode, but at least I am forewarned. I do have an early previa, but that should clear up sometime before birth as I had one with my 4 yr old. The doctor doesn't think that was the cause of the bleeding because it was so early. Usually a previa doesn't bleed until late in the 2nd tri, which I had suspected, too.
Anyway, the baby doesn't have a nuchal fold which is fabulous for an old fart like me. I didn't even know they would be looking. He has two legs, two feet, two arms, two hands and his brain looks great for my dates, too. So, all is well and I'm really feeling so much better right now and am actually excited! I told my 15yr old about the baby today and he replied, Cian, my baby, will be devastated.
So, all looks great thus far and I'm FINALLY really excited about this pg!
