Update - baby mentioned
I think I posted here that Mari was born 4 weeks early on 9-16. She's doing great and is 6 1/2 lbs now! Woo hoo!
Her mom isn't doing so well, however. I was rushed to the emergency room last Wednesday and was diagnosed with gallstones. I got those last year when I was pregnant with my angel son, but they have not bothered me until now. Then on Sunday, I had another attack. I met with the surgeon yesterday and I'm scheduled for surgery on 11-10. I'm not looking forward to surgery, but I am looking forward to not being afraid to go anywhere for thefear of gallbladder attack when I'm alone with the girls. The pain is worse than labor because it does not let up. Morphine was administered in ER and I have vicodin for home.
So, although I'm upset, I'm excited about feeling better and not having pain hit me out of left field, especially with a newborn. The surgeon said my body has been put through the wringer with four pregnancies in less than three years. My sister also has a friend who had hers removed and then lost the extra weight she had been carrying for a few years. I am 40 lbs over where I should be and 50 over where I want to be. Emotional and physical trials have hurt my body and I can't wait to feel better.
Hugs,
Susan
