I'm 37 years old and we have been ttc for about 6 months now. I recently started charting last month but was very aware of my cycle prior to this. I'm just wondering with my age, when should we be taking the next step and consulting a doctor to help us along. My husband is 33 years old and has two boys from a previous marriage. I have a son who is 10. Also, does anyone know what the cost is for IVF in Canada and more particularly, in Alberta? I just don't know how long to wait before seriously considering alternate options. Thanks!
If you've been at it 6 months, now is the time to consult a doctor, preferably an RE. I can't speak for the costs in Canada, though some of the ladies here post different outcomes depending on their province. In some areas it seems to take forever to get appointments while in others, it seems to be a cinch.
You should ask over at IUI or IVF. These ladies are amazing and there are a few Canadians at both those forums and they're all simply wonderful!!
