Icon13 Progesterone ???

I went to my OBGYN and she feels that I am certainly low on Progesterone. So she suggested using an cream for 2 weeks after I ovulate. She said I could get this over the counter at any health food store. Anyone have to use this and like what they use?

I've been having severe pain in my low ab and I GUSH when SF is in town now. Yesterday she said it seemed minor, but I'm not using overnights during the day to prevent accidents! I have never bled so much before and I'm 37. I'm also gaining weight like water and I can't stop it! I'm barely eating and it's still coming on! But love handles are good right?

At least it's not Endo like my GI thought it was. I still have to have a colonoscopy on the 15th since I'm still having BM issues. Anyway I was wondering if anyone has a cream they have used and like or have ever had this issue what ever it really is. Could I be headed for early Menopause?

Cinnamon,

I sell a bio-identical progesterone cream that is fantastic. Let me know if you are interested and I will email you the link to my website.

Hugs,

I think any good health food store, like a Whole Foods or a Wild Oats or maybe a food coop in your town would have some knowledgeable people on staff who could help you pick a good product. There are many to choose from.

There is a fantastic book called, "What your Doctor May not tell you about Pre-menopause" that will tell you all about progesterone cream and how to use it. Look for it on www.amazon.com

I think you will be happy by the results. It will surely temper for you, although I hope pregnancy does that for you first!

Yes, is most cases you should use bio-identical progesterone cream from days 14 to 28 - the luteal phase. No matter what brand you pick out, just make sure it is bio-identical.

I ordered the book and I have some cream I bought at whole foods till I get my order from my step mom who sells the same cream as you Susan. SO far I've noticed that I lost 8 pounds and I'm SUPER emotional, but this could all be cause I'm not eating just working my A$$ off and work has be SO stressed! SO who knows if I'm gonna see a difference anytime soon.

Lurking....sorry.

I used progesterone from the day I ovulated till I was 10 weeks pg with my daughter. I actually got progesterone pills from my doctor and used them as a suppository at night. It was not messy at all and I was able to keep this baby after 3 m/c. If your doctor suggested it I would ask her/him for the the product.

On a side note it only took that one month and I was good to go!!! Best of luck to you!!!

I used the progesterone cream from the whole foods. When I did my IVF cycle I did the injectible progesterone. I discontinued it at 6 weeks pregnant but started back on injection progesterone when I was 23 weeks pregnant and continued on 1 weekly shot of the stuff until I was 32 weeks pregnant. I help with miscarriages/preterm labor.

OH MY god is this book an eye opener!! I'm having a colonoscopy on Weds for tummy issues I've been having!! I read this book (I'm halfway done) and OH MY GOD!!! It's talking about several issues I've been having!! INCLUDING my tummy issues (colon stuff too) I can not THANK YOU enough for the recommendation!!! I feel like I have had a whole new lease on my outlook here! WHEW I'm feeling more confident it's not cancer and is my body being off hormonally!! I can breath now!! Well after the colonoscopy rules out any obstructions and such. THANK YOU again!!
