When a woman releases more then one egg in a month, does she release mulitples at the same time or an she release, and then release again?

I'm really confused. When I had my pelvi ultra sound, the tech said my right ovary had just released an egg...then it did release an egg 3 days later. I'm not going by the O pain, I'm going by the fact that I had EWCM two days after the tech said I already released an egg. Was she wrong, or did I O twice?

The hormones released after you O stop you from O'ing again (otherwise you could keep getting pregnant again while you're pregnant!). But before enough hormone has been secreted, another egg can be released... but it will happen within 12 to 24 hours of the first one. If they both get fertilized, you get fraternal twins.

Sometimes, you can still have some ewcm the day or so after you O. That's caused by estrogen, which the corpus luteum (what's left after the egg has popped) releases both estrogen and progesterone. Once the progesterone is high enough, it wins out over the estrogen, and the ewcm stops.

I'll bet my 27 years of fertility tracking that the tec was wrong and I ovulated 5 days after she said I did.
(She said I Ovulated on Sunday and I had EWMC on Wednesday. I also had the ovulation pain 2 days after the EWMC, which was friday.)
