Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking for a little while and hope I have the lingo down LOL!
We just started a cycle of Follistim 75IU and am on CD6. My DH & I are both 36. I have a DD born in 1997, conceived after 3 cycles of Clomid. This will be TTC#1 with my DH and we are keeping our fingers crossed for this cycle. We have been TTC for a year, spent 3 cycles with our GYN doing Colmid 100mg. Two cycles were unmonitored and the last was supposed to have IUI, but follicles were only 8 and the IUI was cancelled. I scheduled an RE appoinment, because face it, the clock is ticking!
I love our RE and staff. They have been so helpful so far and very encouraging. After dealing with my GYN I was getting discouraged, because they (ie..the nurse) led me to believe the only alternative would be IVF, at a rate of $10k each cycle.

I was relieved to have the RE start us on injectibles right away. Even though it is expensive, it is no where near what I was expecting. And, I'm sure like most everyone else, there is no insurance coverage for infertility for us.
I spoke with the RE nurse this morning and she indicated my CD3 FSH was 5.8(excellent!) Estrogen 26 (very good) and LH 14.4. BTW...the RE diagnosed me with PCOS after US & labwork. The nurse indicated I should stimulate well based on the labwork. I hope so anyway.
We are trying to decide if we should do IUI with this cycle. RE says it isn't necessary since my DH sperm tests came back at way above normal levels. He said my DH could create a small population, so it's definitely me that has the problem.
So for now, we are just sitting here

and keeping our fingers crossed that this cycle works!
