Default New Here...TTC #3 after a miscarriage

Hi all, My name is Susie, I'm 37 and I'm ttc my third (hoping for pink, but happy with healthy). I was pregnant late March, but the day before my first appt, almost 7 weeks along, and I started spotting. It was brown and everyone was reasurring me that it might be ok, by the time I got home from the doc visit the next morning, it started..........devastating.

I rested and recooperated for almost a week, then 4 weeks after the m/c I got my period. It only lasted one day, but I looked up online and found out that the first period after a m/c is known to be different, either really short or really long. I was grateful to have the really short!

Anyway, here I am on CD 14, keeping my fingers crossed. We DTD this past week a few times, and I'm hoping something works. I guess we'll know in another 2 weeks right?

Sooooooooooo............I'm looking forward to being here for as short as possible, and I hope that TOGETHER, we will all make it to a DUE IN>>> board!!!

wishing you all nothing but smiles!

Hi, Susie. I'm in a similar situation... I'm 38 and ttc after 2 miscarriages. I had two healthy pregnancies, then two horribly disappointing first trimester miscarriages - the second one at 12 weeks and 3 days. So sad. Now we are trying again ... my husband wants this to be our last attempt because the losses are so devastating and we are both getting older (he is 52). My period is due on June 24 ... and I could be pregnant but it is too soon to know. I find this part of the month to be absolutely maddening! I'm nervous to be pregnant again - I get very ill (although I have since found an acupuncturist who swears she can minimize the nausea), and the last two times I have lost the baby. Ugh. But I'm hoping and praying to get pregnant easily - that has never been a problem for me in the past, but who knows what additional challenges I may start to face as I get older.

I wish you luck in trying, and I also hope we can soon be supporting each other through a pregnancy!

Anita

Dear Susie & Anita, I am 39 and also TTC after a M/C in March 08 at 12 weeks. I would love pink this time as I have 2 sons which I wouldn't trade for the world. They are great. I would love and adore either one though. I have been trying to conceive since my first cycle after my M/C unsuccessfully. I have been trying over a year and praying it happens soon. We started trying April of 07. I was preg by Dec and MC in March. It is so frustrating waiting. I am scared too. My clock is ticking which also adds stress. I am using the clearblue easy fertily monitor. My cycles are regular 26 days each month. I detect my LH surge (day 13) and bed w/hubby on one high day (day 13) and one peak day (day 14) for the last several months but nothing yet. Am I doing something wrong? I can tell I Ovulate b/c my BBT sharply rises after my peak day. I also have the EW CM and it is stretchy on the peak days. Am I waiting to long to bed? I start my period exactly 13 days after I have detected my first Peak on my monitor. Maybe my egg for the month just isn't good enough or something. I don't know but would love to talk to someone for their opinions as I am to Ovulate again next weekend around June 29/30. Good luck to you both and Pray that you both receive Good News soon!
Sincerely, BeckyAnn
