I think my TTC days are coming to an end but it's a good thing
you see Ken and I have been talking adoption. I'm currently sitting in Denver,CO looking to buy a house. I posted a week ago on the sheknows Moving on Adoption board and I've told 3 people: My cousin who is here with me who's boss apparently is on the Colorado Board of Adoption (has two "creative adoptions") (this is great for future info); the Dever paper held a huge adoption day article (one was about twins being placed in a family) and my loan agent whom I met today has two adopted boys! SO is this a sign saying it's the right thing? I'm not sure, but I just raised my house hunt price so we can be in better schools, that's a huge plus for placing children apparently................so I'm thinking it is but I still need to talk to a lawyer. Just thought I would share it with you all.

Maybe this is a sign, coming to CO, meeting all of those people, you and Ken are destined to adopt! Think of it, sharing your love with another (or 2) child. I wish you all the best in whatever choice you make - you are an awesome lady!

Re: I think my TTC days are coming to an end but it's a good thing
Hey Cinamon I think that is a profoundly moving decision and I applaud you for even considering it. I think a lot about children in orphanages waiting for a parent. I look at my child and the way her eyes light up when I kiss her or the way she snuggles next to me in the mornings when it's cold or the way sometimes she will just cry to be held for no other reason than because she's missed me. Children long for love and touch and demand it as their birthright. I sometimes feel so depressed thinking of the children who don't have anyone to hold them. Good luck and God's blessings. Wishing you a peaceful, wonderful Thanksgiving.

Re: I think my TTC days are coming to an end but it's a good thing
Well, you know what I think. What a wonderful idea!! My little Fenway is ours through and through. There are days I have trouble believing that I didn't give birth to her. Email me if you need to talk, jfirth@webryder.com. There are ups and downs in adoption as well.
We are now trying to think of names for Fenway's sister because as dh says some one in China is busy making us our next child.

Re: I think my TTC days are coming to an end but it's a good thing
We are in the Cherry Hill district and so far so good. I bought a house in Parker (Antelope Heights) last week, all by myself!! WHEW!! Ken is a SAHD so they only had me fill out the loan docs. Ken is just as excited as I am, we close escrow in just 3 days!! a 6 day close! We bought a brand new house on a littel over 1/4 acre, that feel out of contract with $70 in upgrades, the builder was asking 370 and I offered 320 and they TOOK it!! We will be out there on Wed to close and get the keys!! I'm so excited!
Now to get a new job and get settled. WE to might not be moving until April May. Just in time for SNOW!!!
