I know Dee, I know. Infertility, IUIs, IVFs, miscarriages. We've been there done that and it still hurts like hell. It hurts when you go through it, it hurts when you see other people going through it and somehow you want to reach out and protect them from everything, from the hurt, the pain, the u/s, the aftermath, the getting-over. It's hard. It's a tough life we lead.

Hi ladies! Just popping in to see how things are going. Nothing really new for me, still getting used to the idea of having a grown step-son and -grandson, doing some switching around with job stuff, planning summer vacations.

Hey all,

I saw my name and decided to say hello! Things with me are somewhat the same. Our foster child is almost two, so I am planning her birthday party. Eight kids! Yikes! The trial to terminate her parents rights was postponed till May. It was supposed to be in March. Long story, but just think of the inefficiency of the system.
We met with her paternal grandparents and her older sister. The grandparents have the older sister as her guardians. They are nice people and this part of the story is so long as to why they have the older sister and not Allison. In a nutshell, I guess they felt like they didn't know how many children he would have and they couldn't take in Allison permanently. We met with them to see how they felt about us adopting Allison when it gets to that point (if ever at this rate). They are totally supportive of us and also if they are any relatives that surface on her mothers side we would totally ask her fathers side for help and support on that. Back in February I heard her moms younger sister (22-23 yrs old) was potentially interested in adopting her. That scared me to death. There is another way I could put that!!!! Now we think it was the maternal grandfather putting her sister up to it.

Yes, a few of us certainly go back a long way. I have a friend who keeps talking to me about IVF. Definitely not sure if that is the right thing for me.

My business (I'm a headhunter) has been a struggle in the sense that I have had deals falling apart on me. It is the nature of the beast.
