Cycle Cancelled
My dr just called and told me we have to cancel this cycle due to high e2 (87). I'm so disappointment AGAIN. The Lupron made my e2 drop last time, but didn't work this time. I have to go back on BCP and try again next month. Funny I alway thought you weren't supposed to try to get pregnant right after stopping the BPC. Any advise would be nice.

Re: Cycle Cancelled
Thanks. I'm just so discouraged. I feel like the universe is against my husband and I having a baby. We've been trying for 2 years.

Re: Cycle Cancelled
I'm sorry
I think it is that it could be difficult to become pg after taking bcp Not that you c/should not try, but most re's use bcp to get rid of cysts. I am sure they use them for other reasons too, I just do not know what they are. Seeing as how you will be doing a medicated cy after the bcp, you should have no problems getting pg (from the bcps)
Good luck on your next cy, I hope you get your very soon.

Re: Cycle Cancelled
My friend is going through IVF, and her doctor puts her on BCP. When she first told me that, neither one of of really "got" why the doctor did it. When she asked, he said it was to "calm her ovaries" before taking drugs to stimulate them. "Calming the ovaries" must have something to do with the e2 levels as well. I know how disappointing the delay is, but if that's step one to getting pregnant, go for it.
Hang in there, hon. Wishing you all the best for a speedy and sticky
