Default Can I post here?

Just wondering, since I'm not over 35. But, I'm not 20 something either! I'm turing 31 this year, and will hopefull have a new baby before I'm 32!

I have two boys (as you can see from my siggy), and am hoping for a girl this time. But, I am at peace with getting another boy. Hoping for a May baby as well.

For the last few months i've only been here on and off, since my m/c. I hope you won't take this personally(and i apologize for the fact that you probably will). I realize that i am also likely to get stomped on by quite a few ladies here, but.....

This isn't just another TTC forum. It's a group of ladies who have been put thru the wringer a few times. Ladies who are being told that now it will be a lot less likely that they'll ever have what they have longed for and prayed for for so long. It's not just a bond of us trying to get pregnant, but a bond from all the heartaches we keep going thru.

I'm sorry that all that probably sounds bad, but it is really hard. After losing a few babies, it hurts to see others happily on their way to motherhood, even while being so happy for them that they are finally getting there. It would hurt even more to see someone younger, who doesn't face all these problems. I see that a lot at work already, and get slapped in the face with it everytime i see a magazine stand. It's nice to have a place to rest for a little while away from that.

I am sorry that you are going through those struggles. I understand why you wouldn't want to hear about "happy-go-lucky" people like me in our 30's that don't have fertility issues. But, I ask you, where am I supposed to go then? I certainly don't related to those in the 20-Somethings forum. Apperently I don't belong here either because I don't struggle to TTC and have never had a loss. But why should I be ostracized for that? This IS a ttc age and experience forum, not the infertility, health issues, issues, or after loss forum. Where are others like me supposed to go for support?

Why don't you try this board? http://talk.sheknows.com/forumdispla...ysprune=&f=373 This might be a great place for you. There are moms there and also ttc moms. They started out on the 30-Something board here and as they graduated they moved over. All the women over there have different experiences with their ttc journeys... natural, iui, ivf etc.

People tend to find a home and stay. I think that you will find on several of these boards that a large majority of the women don't necessarily "fit" the title since they've been around for such a long time.

My "home" is the fm/opk board and I think I'm the only one there still ttc #1. They've found a home and they've stayed and we've all been there for years.

This IS a ttc age and experience forum, not the infertility, health issues, issues, or after loss forum.
I think the age boards may be a little more sensitive. When it comes to fertility there is a large difference in 20, 30, 35 and 40 years of age and with experience. If I were to join the boards now I would probably would have been drawn to different boards knowing what I know now about my IF issues. I stay where I am because I've made friends and they "get" my history.

With that said, I was just lurking although I am over 35. When I joined, I was closer to 30 hence my second home is 30-Something and due to all my history since arriving at these boards, the IVF board is my third home.

There are numerous boards. You might just like the one I gave a link for.

I didn't see your post count, Wendy. I just assumed you were new to SK.

So, did the 30-Something forum disappear then? I will go somewhere else. Thanks for the link to the other board.

Here is the 30 something board. Honestly, I think it might be a more appropriate place for you. They seem to be a group of 30+ year old women who don't quite have as many struggles as we do at 35+. If I were healthy 31 year old with not alot of problems TTC or experienced in multiple losses, I would rather hang out in that forum.

The 30-something ttc board was featured this month so it's at the very top. It's kind of confusing when they do that!

I still say the mom's board is a great place to look. There are very few parents still around on the 30 ttc board. Feel free to check both out!
