Anyone over 35 TTC #1?
Hi there,
I'm 36 years old and TTC my first child (for the last 14 mos). I had no idea I would be going through so much emotional crap! I also was not prepared to be dealing with Infertility issues! Currently I am waiting to O. Charting BBT's, doing CM and CP checks, taking a handful of supplements, taking Robitussin, drinking green tea and grapefruit juice, and OPKing! Have had 3 unsuccessful attempts at clomid (100 mg) and IUI's. If it's not this, it's obsessing during the 2WW about symptoms. I swear I am not the same person I was before all this madness. Despite everything, I still have hope.

I am in the same boat as you.....I never thought I would be so obsessed. I never even knew when I ovulated before last year. What supplements are you taking? I'm trying evening primrose oil.....and prenatal vitamins. I am soo hoping I get pregnant soon. And I too am a crazed lunatic during the 2WW....it's like I'm a different person. I REALLY do feel all the symptoms, and then, nothing....Oh well, lets hope we can make a go of it this month!

Re: Anyone over 35 TTC #1?
Hey VTGRRL,
Thanks for responding. By night, I get a little crazy especially after a day of this! Here is what I am taking:
CD1- Ovulation(daily)Red Raspberry(1000mg) and Evening Primrose(1000mg)
CD 7- Ovulation (daily)Robitussin with guaifenesis only(100 mg) 3xs per day
Ovulation-AF (daily)Flaxseed oil (2000mg)
I also am drinking Green Tea daily and one glass of grapefruit from CD1-O. So, how are you doing? What CD are you on? Are you seening a specialist yet or just your OBGYN? I am just switching from my OBGYN to a specialist after about 13 months of trying. Which is going to be so expensive! My insurance basically covers the consultation and one follow up. How nice, huh? Anyway, I am on CD13. Hopefully I will ovulate tomorrow or the next day so that I can begin that exciting 2WW. Have a great Sunday.

Re: Anyone over 35 TTC #1?
Hi....I am going to wait until after the summer is over, if it hasn't happened yet for me, I will go back to my ob/gyn and see what she has to say. My husband and I really can't afford infertility treatments, atleast right now. I did get pregnant in December, basically without even trying (we stopped b/c in early fall, but I wasn't keeping track of my cycles or anything)....but unfortunately, I miscarried on January 16th at about 6 weeks. I really hope I don't have to go through that again.
What is green tea supposed to do? I've read about others on this board and others using it. It's really good for anyone but what specifically does it do?
I am on cycle day 8....I usually ovulated between day 18 and 20. I hope, hope, hope we can both be in the due in March boards together!

Re: Anyone over 35 TTC #1?
Hi ladies,
I feel for both of you as I too am in the same boat. I recently found out I have a cyst on my left ovary and the Gyno wants me to just wait and see if it will go away on its own. IS HE KIDDING ME??? So, I started using natural progesterone cream this month on my own which is supposed to keep me from ovulating and thus shrink or get rid of my cyst although all it seems to have done is through my cycle wayyyyy out of whack. I've been taking a multivitamin with folic acid too.
I'm just going to go with the flow this monthand see what my cycle does from here to CD 26 which is when I am to stop the progesterone and wait for AF.
Good luck to us all and glad to see I have allies in the TTC war.

Re: Anyone over 35 TTC #1?
It is nice to know I'm not the only one getting a late start on the baby making thing! Veronica, my temps have been weird so far this cycle....not sure why, wondering if it may be the evening primrose oil I started...I wonder if I'm going to ovulate at all this cycle! We shall see!

Re: Anyone over 35 TTC #1?
Is there room for more on that boat? I'm 36 and DH is 39 - we've been actually TTC #1 for about a year now. I went off the pill about a year before that and took a year to get my cycles straightened out.
