Hi everyone. I'm at 13 dpo, so AF would be due tomorrow (Tuesday) or, at latest, the next morning. It keeps feeling like she's already here. But some people have AF-like cramps even when she doesn't show, right? I'm feeling a little crampy, but no sore bbs, and I'm not super-emotional, which is odd. I was really nauseous this morning, especially on the drive to work, which has never happened before, but I hadn't eaten anything, so I don't know how much of a clue that is either. My temp dropped this morning, but I had to pull an all-nighter, so I only got one hour of sleep, and I fell asleep on top of the covers, so given the circumstances, maybe it didn't drop that low, compared to a few days before. Guess I'll wait and see what tomorrow's temp brings.

I can practically see, feel, and smell this baby, I want it so badly! Saying my prayers...

FF said I was at 14dpo... so I POAS, and it was negative!!! I could not believe it! Again, it wasn't a sensitive one. I was looking for a FRER, but the grocery stores near me and the Shoppers Drug Mart (national drug store chain) don't carry them. But I've never seen pregnancy tests sold in any of our Dollar stores either, and there seems to be one on just about every corner in Canada. I'll have to look around at a few more stores to see where I can get a FRER.

Anyway, I looked at my temps and when I had EWCM with spotting, so I thought I might have ovulated later, on CD15, rather than CD13. In two years of charting, I've only O'd on CD13 once, and that was back in Oct 2004! It's usually CD 14-16, and sometimes later, if I've been under a lot of stress just before Oing.

I went into the FF settings, and changed the Ovulation Detector method from "Advanced" to "Research" -- and it changed my O date to make it two days later (CD15, with solid lines), so now it says that I'm only 12 dpo, and that I shouldn't test until Friday.

I think it's pretty clear that I did O this cycle -- it's just a question of when. My best guess is that I O'd on Thurs, Oct 5th (CD15). My temp pattern is usually clear, but on Fri, Oct 6th and Sat, Oct 7th, and even Sun, Oct 8th, my temps could be off, because I had to travel to speak at a conference, so I worked late on Thursday night, spent 9 1/2 hours in the car on Friday getting to my destination at around 11pm, gave my talk on Saturday morning, got back in the car in the car on Saturday afternoon, and drove back, getting home very late on Saturday night to get ready for the Canadian Thansgiving family get-together on Sunday. In a 36 hour span, I spent a total of 17 hours in the car, and a night in a hotel where I only got about 5 hours of sleep, not to mention the public speaking -- I'm sure that can mess with temps a bit!

I haven't given up yet. I still feel much different from the way I ususally do -- still waking up in the night, nauseous -- that's really unusal for me. I was very nearly sick yesterday, and I haven't thrown up in several years. And I'm really hungry and get tired easily. Not much in the way of cramping -- very minor when it does happen, and it's different. And I can feel my bbs are bigger, but they're not sore at all, which they usually are for a full week before I get my period.

So, I'll assume that I'm at 12dpo, and it's too early to test with the regular tests that say you have to wait until you've missed your period.

The waiting continues!!!

These are really cheap, and pretty good. I got positives with this and a day later, the dr office test still came up negative.

I should probably mention that when i got the bfp at 11dpo using these strips, i let it sit for longer than the recommended time(5min). OOOHHHH! I just went back and read the instructions again. Wow. It says to hold the strip in the urine sample for 10sec. I only put it in for 3sec.
Keep in mind that for some people it just takes a little longer to get a positive. If AF doesn't show, check in a few days. If it still doesn't show up, check a few days after that. (or be like the rest of us, and get a lot of the really cheap tests, and check every day )

Well, they give the instructions on the web site, not sent to you. It comes from Canada, so maybe you can get it sent to you before Friday.

I ordered their HPTs and OPKs.

I also looked at Fertility Friend, and their study of women using their charting service showed that 40% of women didn't get their first positive until the day after their period was due, or even later. Only 15% got a positive three days before their period.

I also searched their chart gallery and looked at the most recent 200 Pregnancy charts with an O at cd15 (like mine) and a first + HPT that didn't show up until >15dpo.

Sooo, still feeling hopeful, starving, and non-crampy!

My temperature went up a bit again today. Actually I took it twice, within a couple of minutes. I put the second (lower one) in my chart. The first one, right after I woke up was up to 98.86, but I used the lower one, to be on the safe side. Still, it's higher than it was yesterday.

My bbs feel heavier, and I had to change blouses this morning, because I was popping the button -- but no particular soreness (only the very tiniest bit, which I may be imagining, or I may have caused by checking every ten minutes! ). I feel the odd pinch in my abdomen, but no AF-like cramping. I'm just tired and hungry. I had to eat at 11pm last night, and I was starving when I woke up.

If I did O on cd13, as FF's "advanced" ovulation detector thinks I did, then I'm definitely late. I thought of testing this morning, but I had to pee in the middle of the night, so I didn't think there would be much concentration in this morning's FMU. So, I'm going to wait things out for another day or two, and if AF hasn't stopped by unannounced (and most unwelcome!), I'll test again.

Work will keep my mind off things today -- busy busy busy.

I just tried to check the position of my cervix, and it's so high that I can't touch it. It's been low to medium and firm for the last couple of days. But today, it's gone! If I bear down, I can just touch it with the very tip of my middle finger. It's definitely not firm, but I can't reach it enough to know whether it's medium or soft.

Does that mean anything at all? Where is it supposed to be right before your period? I've only started checking it in the last month or two, so I'm not sure where it's supposed to be at this time. Does it change during pregnancy?

CP should be low before AF. During early pg it goes HIGH. For me usually around CD10-12.

Still hoping and praying.

The only different thing is that now my bbs are just starting to get a little bit tender (usually they just plain hurt for a week before AF, and then stop hurting as soon as AF shows), and I'm really hungry and thirsty today. I woke up feeling nauseous, but that went away. No cramps, just a few pinchy twinges. A little bit of creamy cm. A minor skin breakout. And I feel like I can smell everything -- I just don't know whether I happen to be paying more attention to that right now.

I don't know... I don't want to test, because I don't want to see a negative. But, on the other hand, it would be soooo exciting to get a !!!

Well, Spot showed this morning. That ususally means his owner, AF is around the corner. I'm really sad this morning, and I'm going to take a break from the internet for a while -- I've been obsessing too much, and I'm way behind in my work!

Thank you so much for all of your support. It's been a lot harder going through this than I thought it would be. And, without having a partner to go through it with me, it's meant a lot to me to be able to have you guys for moral support.
