A friend of mine is doing her thesis and is looking at how children learn new vocabulary by studying their brain waves. So Alex was one of her participants...

He actually didn't finish, it was a two hour long process and he eventually refused to sit there any longer! I feel bad for my friend though cause it means she can't use his data but she gave him a couple of gift cards for his help which he used to by Deisel 10 which he was so excited about.

What was neat though, she tested his vocabulary / expressive language as well...

For a kid who didn't really say anything until he was 3, he scored a full year ahead on his language skills! He scored 6 years 1 month for expresive language! In fact if he had gotten any more questions correct she would have been asking questions designed for 14-21 year olds! (he would get a few wrong then one right etc so he ended up with quite difficult questions near the end of it)
