I think I need my own board!

Just wanted to type an update for you all of you while I have some time.

Owen is continuing to progress. He is no longer on a IV for glucose. He has a nasogastric tube which is helping him to eat. Since he didn't get to take feeds last week d/t all of the testing, he doesn't like to suck a whole bottle and is only taking 1/2 his feeds so the rest of the time, they put the remaining about down the tube. We are hoping he will start eating full feeds soon and we can take out the tube and come home...that's the only thing keeping him in the NICU and he came home.

The last test they were waiting on...toxoplasmosis...came back negative, which I knew it would since I haven't touched a cat litter box in years.

DH is uploading new pics and videos as we speak so I will hopefully have some news one's tomorrow to post.

I'm hanging in there...I have my days and moments. It's been a hard, long process but I have to believe that Owen will come home soon.

Kelli, I am really glad that you updated us and I will continue to that he gets to come home soon. You are a strong women who has gone though a lot and please remember we are all here for you

I can't wait to see new pics. those first ones has me teary eyed for sure

HEy..post as much as you would like..we all want to hear the updates about Owen.
I'm happy to see that Owen is making progress ...hope he gets to go home soon.
