Default Moving

Ok, DH and I have decided that Southern Cali is too espensive to live the way we would like, ie me stay home and take care of our child instead of putting him/her in day care. My question to you ladies is where should we move???? DH has lived in Maryland. He loved it, but not sure if I can handle the winters, since I am a California girl, born and raised. It gets 69 degrees and I am grabbing my "winter coat" lol So tell me ladies, what do you like and dislike about your city/state??????

Hi,

I live in California also and I moved from San Francisco 6 years ago b/c we wanted a bigger house and the taxes were killing us. Anyway, we stay in CA but we have been living in Elk Grove for the last 5.5 years and I loved it! I am a stay at home mom and I wont move anywhere else. So since you are a Cali Girl a will recomend staying arround find another city that can give you a better financial comfort zone and maybe that way you can saty in Cali.

Good luck!!!

I love NC. I have lived here all my life but traveled abroad and to other cities and states. I love NC because there are 4 complete seasons. The fall and the spring are the best. Its hot as hell in the summer time and cold in the winter. Although we haven't had any snow in several years....
When it does snow everything closes and you get a free day off work. That is nice.
NC is just a great all around place to live I think. Oh and the beach is 2 hours away and the mountains is 2 hours away.

I'm in Northeast Ohio, and I'd move in a heartbeat if it we're for our darn families. My DH and I have talked about moving to North Carolina since they still have seasons but not all that snow.

I like Mely's reco though. We've had a few offers to move us to Cali, but it's just too far from the families. If I was a single, I think it would be much easier.

(fun post!)

I live in CO and love it! We moved to FL a few years back and did not like it so we moved back here. I do like the fact that it is snowing now but will be melted by tomorrow because it is always sunny here I also love the mountains and you can be in them in such a short trip.

with your decsision
