Just got back from the RE:

Here's the plan:

I'll call later this week when arrives to let them know we can start the ball rolling and they'll order my meds for me. I'll get cd3 b/w to check TSH and FSH levels. On cd2, DH and I will both go on antibiotics for 10 days. On cd22 of my cycle I'll start Lupron injections and I should get sometime in the 2 weeks after I start it.

Then I'll go back on my next cd3 for u/s and b/w and depending on those results, I'll start Follistim and be on our way! I'll stim for 8-10 days and then do the egg retrieval.

The nurse said she is guessing egg retrival to be around Dec. 3 or 4th but that could change depending on how things play out.

I may have left a few details out but that's it in a nutshell!

Wow! There is a lot of steps!! Just think about having to prepare for Thanksgiving and Dec will be here before you know it!!!! I wish you all of the luck and babydust. Then you will have all of the BFP at the begining of 2007!!! What a way to bring in the new year!

Licia...yeah, I think I have all the steps down but I need to ask a couple of questions when I call them to tell them is here. The appt was so long and so much info (most of it I knew from the help of all of our boards and all the wonderfully educated IF women!) that my mind was just racing!

Kelly...Thanks, sweetie! I am thinking but trying not to get myself to excited, in case this doesn't work. WOW...I can't believe how far along you are...just a few more weeks for you!

Me...I forgot to add that they might have to do ICSI, where they take one sperm and inject it into the egg for fertilization. This is d/t DH's count/motility. They will be doing another s/a prior to me starting the Follistim so they will know kind of what the sample for the egg retrieval will be like. He will of course have to provide another sample on the day of the retrieval and they will base the final decision for ICSI on it. That kind of worries me but they say IVF can work and people get pg from it all the time.

Glad to see your protocol! That's great you can start right away! Our RE suggested ICSI for us too if we go with IVF. It's probably the better option with our MF.
