I'm 30 something too.

Hello ladies. Not only am I a Clomid user, lol, I am also 30 something. So I figure I would join this group also. Thomas, my DH, and I have been TTC for about year now. We are hoping to get our BFP by the end of the year. We are currently in our second round of Clomid. I am seeing the doc tomorrow in the am. I wish every one luck!

to the board! Glad you decided to join us over here, too! The Clomid board is sooo slow and I can't seem to be getting it up and running! I'm Kelli, BTW!

This board is pretty active! We have a chatty thread here so feel free to jump in at anytime! All of us are at different areas of our TTC...some are doing IVF, IUI's, natural...you name it!

Thank you! We tried to do it naturally on the last round, but BFN. So we are going to do IUI this round. I am not sure what to expect. How will they know which side will O? Does it hurt? Can my DH come in the room and hold my hand through this? Boy, before we were TTC months would fly by. Now I feel like one hour is taking a week.

I am just hoping I can give my DH a Christmas present of a BFP!!!

Malicia...(I just responded to your post on the Clomid board!)...anyway, as far as IUI's...they feel generally just like a Pap test. (I've had about 7 total and some of mine were painful but it was due to an uncooperative cervix) Your DH can come in the room with you, in most clinics. Also, about which side will O, they should be monitoring you with u/s each cycle to see when the follies are mature enough. Generally, they'll give you a "trigger" shot to help you release the follies and IUI will follow about 24-36 hours after that shot.

Thank you Kelli! Today I went in for my u/s scan to make sure I didn't have any cyst from the Clomid. Nope! We are good to go! Had the most painful pain on my right side last night. It was so bad that it woek me up and gave me a headache and I felt that I was going to throw up!! I was in a fetal position all night. No pain this morning and nothing came up on the u/s, so I have no idea what THAT was all about!!
