HCG timing. IUI'ers, WWYD?

OK, I'm wondering about timing for the HCG shot. I know you typically O within 12-48 hours of the shot, right?

If we do BTB IUIs on Friday AM and Saturday AM, should I get my HCG shot Thursday AM or in the afternoon, WWYD?

My doc did 36 hours prior - but I never did BTB. SO that may change things. Good Luck!

I'm of no help with IUIs, however, this is what we did for IVF. For example, I'd trigger at 7 p.m. Sunday and then have ER on Tuesday at 7a.m. Most people are on meds to prevent O though.

Maybe for IUI's they do it closer so they don't miss O. Aren't they trying to catch before and after? The timing could depend on the size of the follie too, and how much time they think it needs.

Teece...you're right...usually 36 hours. I timed my last HCG trigger at exactly 36 hours prior to my IUI. I think my IUI was at 11am on a Tuesday morning and I triggered at 11pm on Sunday. HTH!

I took my trigger Thursday evening and Od on Sat evening. And appearantly again on Sunday

Hints 3 babies.
But I would probably take it Thurs am. If I was going to be doing it that is.

I'll also add that the OB thinks I got pg either the same day as the IUI or the next day...especially since the last u/s I had at the OB's had me dating exactly 9wks and it would have been 9wks from that u/s to the IUI.
