Default For a friend...

Ok...so I have a questions for a friend, and I know usually when people say that it's really about themselves, but this really is for a friend. She's 25 and has some fertility problems. I don't know a lot of details, but I know she has endometriosis and her doctor recommends her getting a hysterectomy someday soon, but she says she has taken tests in the past and she does ovulate. She is getting married in two weeks, and really wants a baby. They haven't used protection in two years, but she has never gotten pregnant. (Not that they were really trying, but they weren't trying to prevent it either.) Anyways, she is on day 11 of her cycle that is usually 30 days, and took an at home Clear Blue Easy Ovulation test, and she is freaking out cause only one like appeared, so she says she must not have any LH in her body so maybe she can't get pregnant. Is this true? I guess I should also mention that she took Clomid this cycle as well. From what I read online having one line is fine, and it only should turn to two lines right before you ovulate, but I may be misunderstanding it. She wants me to go out and buy a test to take so we could see my results cause I know I ovulate, but I'm thinking having one line isn't bad. Who's right?? Anyways, any information you can give would be helpful. As for me, I get IUI done this weekend, and I have an ultrasound on Wed to check ovulation!!!! Thanks for your help!

Well, one line is fine, you only surge for about 2 days. With a 30 day cycle, she may see a surge between CD10 and CD16. If she has gotten + OPKs in the past, then she does produce a LH surge necessary to ovulate.

As an aside, I'm not sure why they would have her on clomid with Endo. She should be getting regular Laps and would have the best success with IVF. I'm no doctor, nor do I have Endo, but I think she's got the wrong protocol from my experience on these boards with girls in the same situation.

Those are just my thoughts.
