30-something chatty thread...Let's get this board rolling again!
ok, ladies! I know you're all out there somewhere! This board is way too slow!
Any oldies, grads, or newbies feel free to jump on it! We need updates, please!
I'll start...we have the TV interview with our local hospital and Children's Hospital tomorrow (see my other thread about it!). Kind of nervous but excited, too! Other than that, not much going on. Owen and Isaiah are both doing good!

Re: 30-something chatty thread...Let's get this board rolling again!
I won't be back on for about 1 wk, I am having a c-section with getting my tubes tied. I will update once I am home and comfortable to sit up.
I am officially all ready now (I have everything I need for lil princess to come home). My parents bought me my swing, monitor and boppy (plus a few outfits for baby and DD) .
I will update when I can and I hope you all have a great week!

Re: 30-something chatty thread...Let's get this board rolling again!
don't worry Kelli - you will be find and just think of all the people you will be helping!
Amy - sending speedy recovery vibes your way. Can't wait to hear about your new little girl!
We still have the 3 foster kids as well as our two. I'm finding that 5 is a little too much - especially with 3 of them under one. Between school, bio parent visits, doctors appointments, and life in general sometime I just don't know which end is up. We don't know how long the foster kids will stay with us. Jarrett (DS2) is one of the best sleepers in the house. He usually only quietly wakes
(whimpers a little) asking for food and then goes right back asleep. He is a very calm baby and barely cries. DH and I are already talking about having another - of course talking and actually conceiving is two different things! Either way we either want to be pregnant again or adopt.
Hope the board gets moving again as it was a great support for me when going through the toils of TTC!

Re: 30-something chatty thread...Let's get this board rolling again!
Happy New Year everyone, hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I am doing fine, Myles had a great first christmas, he got so many new winter outfits, I don't need to buy any clothes for him for a while.
Me and DH finally found a great day care for Myles, and it is not to far from my work so that is a plus, so he will start on Feb. 4 which is the day I go back to work, I am dreading that day, it will be here before I know it, but I gotta go right!!
Kelli: Good luck on the TV interview
Maggie: Update us on when the baby arrives, good luck.
I have a question, when did you all give your babies cereal, we are thinking of giving him a little in his bottle with my breast milk.
Take Care everyone.

Angie...Love the new pics in your siggy! I didn't give Owen cereal until 4 months but he is on Enfamil AR (d/t having reflux) where it has added rice starch so in a way he'll gotten it since about 2 1/2 months old. Is he having trouble sleeping at night or just that he seems really hungry all the time?
Maggie... for your c-section! Can't wait to meet the new baby!
Jen...wow...you are super busy! I have no idea how you are doing it! Love the new pic in the siggy!
Ok, who's next? Updates please? New intros?
Getting ready to head to the hosptial to get things going with the interview soon. BBL!

Re: 30-something chatty thread...Let's get this board rolling again!
Natalie Paige arrived on Jan. 8th at 8:51am via c-section weighing at 6 lbs even and 18 1/2 inches long. She has a headful of brownish/blonde hair and blue-gray eyes. She is very quiet and got to nurse while I was in recovery, which was awesome! Amy was so excited to meet her that when she held her sis for the first time she wouldn't let anyone else hold her for almost 1 hour. She is already helping when she said she wouldn't. She helped change a yucky diaper by handing daddy the little gauze wipes.
I am trying to attach photos, so I hope the come thru. I should be able to go home Friday as far as I know. I have already been up walking to the restroom 2 times, but it will be a while before I am zooming around like my old self.
I will update later when I am feeling better.

Re: 30-something chatty thread...Let's get this board rolling again!
Congratulations Maggie on your new baby. I love the name Natalie!
Hi to everyone and thanks again Kelli for starting this board back up. I'm sure we'll get lots more people as we move out of the holidays.
I'm doing ok..just waiting for a closing date on my new house (well my 1st house..we are moving out of an apartment). Hopefully will be next week.
End of this month I'm planning to go back to the doctor to get an SHG (to make sure there is no scarring from my m/c) and then onto IVF #2.

Re: 30-something chatty thread...Let's get this board rolling again!
Hi Ladies I guess I will go ahead and jump in.
Hugs, Congrats and Luck for you guys. I hope to get to know everyone soon. I went to the over 35 board and it was dead so I'm gonna try this one.
I'm Ranee 37, married to Scottie and we have one DS Hunter who just turned four. We've been ttc'ing for over 12 months with no success of anything. I'm on my fourth cycle of Clomid and this month the Dr added Estrogen and Progestrone so we shall see. I'm in the middle of my cycle, CD15, right now and go in for an u/s today to see how many eggs there will be this month. My cycles are all over the place from 28 days to 33 days. Its very frustrating. But my O day seems to stay consistent around CD15-16. I have had eggs each month and hes says my lining looks wonderful but no stickey beans. DH tests came back good also. I think that is everything. Not sure what else to add but look forward to getting to know everyone.

Re: 30-something chatty thread...Let's get this board rolling again!
Hi Girls, thanks Melissa for thinking of me.
DH and I are not actively TTC. And, IVF and Adoption are on probably long term hold. It's funny, I was trying to think of a New Years resolution in December and all I wanted was to not think of all the TTC madness anymore. I woke up the morning of Jan 2 and that was that. I've kinda let go.
I'm not forcing myself to do it, it just felt so good not to stress about money for all this stuff, wonder why us or what's wrong, what if this and what if that... and just LIVE for a change.
Anyhoo, I do check in from time to time and wish those of you still TTC the best of luck and hope God brings you all your truest desires.
Best wishes!

Re: 30-something chatty thread...Let's get this board rolling again!
Hi Ladies!
Teece-I have been thinking about you too, So why are IVF/adoption on hold? just the money issues? I know what you mean about letting go. A good friend (online) gave me some advice and ever since I just stopped thinking about TTC...babies...ect.. and it feels good. Good luck and keep us up to date on how you are
Maggie-Omg congrats sweetie!!!! She is beautiful
Mely-I'm really happy about your plan to adopt. I will probably be following your footsteps, but not till later this year if IVF fails. Keep us posted!!!
Kelli-Thanks for getting the board moving again Glad the interview went well!!
KellyA-glad to see your update, and I can't wait to see B-day pics of Meg
I'm busy applying for jobs and working out, getting ready for a March IVF, but I do read every now and then, and will be cheering on the ttc'ers and love to hear about all the babies milestones and see pics!!
hope everyone has a great 2008!!!
Janay

Hey Janay. I just got tired of the stress. My heart's just not into it and I don't think this is our path right now. Not sure, but it was like a light switch for me and for the first time in a long time, I feel like myself again. Best of luck on your March cycle!

Re: 30-something chatty thread...Let's get this board rolling again!
Teece, I know what you mean, it happen to me too, after my failed IVF I stop with the TTC madness...if God wants me to have another biological child I will and if not...I am OK with that too!!! I don't have to think in ovulation, HPT or dtd on the right moment anymore...I have my life back ......I moved into adoption b/c I want a sibling for Zoulanche and I know that all the love that I have to give will do some good to a heart in need
Janay, can't wait for you to cycle...will be there to cheer you up
Maggie, your older DD seems like a good sister...they are so precious!
KellyA, Happy Birthday(belated) to Meg can't wait to see new pictures of her!

Re: 30-something chatty thread...Let's get this board rolling again!
Kinda MIA.....
I have been to my GP yesterday and my OB's office today due to my incision feeling super yucky (trying to heal-but it is still bleeding and draining) plus on top of that I have a skin infection that looks like MRSA. My GP took cultures on both to see what kind of infection is raiding my body (my back is totally broke out and then my legs are bad and severely swollen). I look like someone punched me in the mouth too (cold sores we think) or the infection too. My OB's nurse said I need to stay on my percocet and advil alternating for another week due to the pain I am having, so I got another rx today. I have to go back Friday to see my OB and see if the Keflex my GP rx'd for me is working.***TMI ahead*** I may have to get drained as my labia and inner thigh have medium sized swollen w/fluid areas that hurt like the dickens. RIght under my incision my stretch marks are raised and filled with fluid too and hurt when you press on them. It doesn't help that I have to wear pads for a few wks either. I am scared that I will have to go in and get it all drained out, I hate needles and have heard they can't use small ones for stuff like this.
I am feeling so miserable, thank goodness DH is off on vacation/paternity leave this week. He has been my driver and making me rest.
Well, I need to lay down now I am hurting in the nether regions when I sit up too long.
