Icon7 Wow, it's been a VERY long time!!

Hello to all those May 2000 babies and mommas! I had to change my name on here because I couldn't remember what it was and the e-mail address was long gone.

SO!! How is everyone? Does anyone ever check these boards anymore? I'm still in touch with Karen but have lost contact with all the others. Facebook is my "board" of choice now. Here's an update on the kids:

We have been homeschooling for over 3 years now. Public school just wasn't a good fit for our family. It's going very well and everyone is happy with it. Dakota is in 5th grade and does exceptionally well with reading and math. I think 6th grade is a good time to transition into school again....but we'll see. Patrick is still such a happy guy. He's the little lover of the family, always snuggling. He's in 4th grade this year and struggles a bit with reading but is otherwise doing well. Sydney is our little princess and in 2nd grade (although is doing 4th grade stuff once in a while!). She loves her "stuffies" and rabbit and loves to dance: Ballet, tap and Jazz classes!

I'm a homebirth midwife now with my own practice! I trained under a senior midwife for 2 1/2 years while doing some self study, going to conferences, etc. I'm also the chapter leader for BirthNetwork of Oakland County! A lot of things have changed in the past 5 years or so that I was on this board last.

Well, I hope to hear from the rest of the lost May2000 moms!
