ok, my cycle is 30 days. ovulation starts generally 2 weeks before right? so lets say my period is due on the 20th of this month. after those 7 day when it stops is it baby time? i know you should have intercourse 4 days before you ovulate. so on the 3rd of march i should be really fertile? im trying to understand my cycle more. can somone just help me think about if my period is coming on the 20th when should i start having intercourse?

I am pretty new to all those things myself, but I learned quite a bit so far.

I'd recoment to sign up with www.fertilityfriend.com. It's free and easy to use. Every morning, you meassure your body temperature and check your cervical fluid type. You add this data to their charts and then it shows you over the course of your cycle when you're fertile. This is usually 2 days before and on the day of the ovulation, if I recall right. I think FF is pretty nice and helpful. You will learn to understand a lot about your cycle

You could also use an Ovulation Predictor Kits (OPK). I have no experience with that, but I am sure someone else on those boards does

If your cy starts (bleeding) on the 20th, and your cy are 30 days apart, you, personally, usually ovulate around the 16th day of your cy. If I were you I'd start the "baby time" around cd13 and keep it up every other day until after you've ovulated. It is possible to catch the egg the day of ovulation, so to cover your bases, keep going until you've ovulated.

I agree with Kimberly. This way if your LP (the time from O until Af) is a little longer you still will catch the eggie. Now remember that yoru LP should stay pretty consistant. I would say to get to know your body to start charting so you know when you O or use OPKs. That will give you a better understanding.
