Moving here from 2ww board...

Coming to this board from the 2ww board. Let me tell you some background: 27y/o married since May, 2006 to my DH (31y/o) ttc #1. Dx with endometriosis in 2001. On Lupron for almost 5 years. Came off Lupron and went on continuous bcps until wedding. Cycles came back normally then stop coming but the tremendous pain (from the endo) returned. Called my dr and he sent me to an RE. Had testing done and we were diagnosed with "unknown infertility." Chose to do IUI last year and had a mc after 8 weeks. Had to take methotrexate because I only mc my lining. After three months, we decided to do IVF. The cycle resulted in 32 eggs, 29 matured, and we froze four embies because I developed OHSS. We thawed two a few weeks ago, they were excellent quality, and we waited our two weeks. Yesterday, my beta came back that neither of the embies implanted. Here we are again... back at nothing... feeling rejected... lost and lonely.

I am so sorry for your difficult journey of TTC.

I hope you are able to get some encouragement from these boards. I am sure you are just really tired and emotionally spent. My prayers are with you.

welcome to the boards---we also did IVF and after 3 tries we have a 5 week old daughter now---- are you guys planning on another IVF cy?

No, we will not be doing another round of IVF. I was terribly ill from the first round. I was out of work for more than a week and had two emergency surgeries after developing OHSS. I was on the lowest doses of medication so my RE can not be sure it won't happen again.

Welcome to the board! I hope you can achieve another healthy LONG pregnancy quickly. Sorry to hear it's been so difficult for you two. What's your game plan for your next attempt?

We have a follow-up appt. with my RE on August 8th. I have a list of several questions to ask her. I don't know what I can physically and emotionally handle next. We have started discussing becoming foster parents and laying off the "baby making" stress for awhile. The only problem is the longer we wait... the longer the endo has to grow back and the since the endo puts me in tremendous pain, the longer we wait the more pain to deal with. Then I thought maybe I should have another lap procedure to remove the endo... however, when I had my last surgery (in 2001) I have many complications and was on bedrest for several weeks. It seems nothing is the "easy solution." :-(
