I was just checking up on you and guess what, I have a Bicornuate Uterus too. Found out when I was 5/6 weeks with Isaac. So If you have any questions, Ill gladly answer or help.

Don't always read the negative things about it. You can carry to term (or over like Isaac), have a normal size baby, and have a vag birth. And baby can flip late as 37 weeks as my Carson did. Don't worry and live on the neg things about it like I did, especially Isaac, since I was a FTM then. I read way to much into it.

I will tell you this though about it...the stretching and pains will be worse than what it should be normally-painful. I was well known in the ER and the drs office. When late in pgncy, stop work early as 2-3 months before your edd. Your belly will also kinda look lopsided, especially late pgncy. Spotting, normal. Might even have your period here and there.

And Post Partum, when you do get your first ppaf, it will be HEAVY (pad an hour or 30 min) and VERY clotty. Head to the ER and they will (TMI) declot you some (some get a d&c done) and they might but you on some Estrogen pills or BCP to help the flow slow.

Thats a few things to help you out now. Again if you need any questions answered, give me a holler!

And also you can NEVER have twins. The uterus can't handle that much.

You can correct it, know many that have. I heard from them that healing time and pain, not bad at all. I haven't done it yet because Im a wuss. Serious surgery. Since I have 2 kids already, Im thinking that I am not. Maybe if I had major problems with conceiving and carrying, I would, but I have had 2 successful pgncies. Took 8 months for Isaac and the first try for Carson.

Sorry one more thing...How long/deep does your septum go. That is what it all depends on the stats and % of things about it. Main thing about this it that. The deeper it is, the worse. The higher it is, the better.

I think that is all now

Thank you Thank you Thank you for all that information!!
I'm actually less stressed since my doctors appointment. Everything eased my mind. She wasn't concerned about anything when she did the exam and said I may even beable to have a vaginal birth, cross fingers.
Plus your personal experience has helped. Oh and I gave up on reading information of the net!! Freaking myself out tooooo bad! My only concern I have is the preterm labor. But everyone is different and I'm just going with the flow and so is the doctor. I'm glad I'm not considered 'high risk' and this is being treated like a normal pregnancy.
So far I haven't had any really major pain or problems with stretching and pulling then again I'm only 14 weeks. And why should I stop working as early as 2-3 months before my EDD? I would love to beable to work up until April, well then again I may not even make it that far in the pregnancy. I've almost convinced myself that I'll be having this baby in March. I also haven't had in spotting or periods since July 6th. I didn't even spot during my exam the other day....OMG that hurt so bad I thought for sure I would, even the doctor said, "yeah, you'll def. have spotting, sorry" It was pretty painful.
I was wondering about that whole lop-sidded belly thing. Do you have any belly shots of when you were pregnant? Micheal only question was, is there going to be room for the baby. haha yeah just not as much, just like one uterus it will strech and push aside other organs.
I don't know how long my septum is....she didn't tell me I didn't ask.
Thanks again for all the info. I would love to stay in touch. If you ever wanna chat I have yahoo messenger or you can reach me at kates00@hotmail.com

The dr advised me to stop working early because I was in so much pain. I was put on bedrest (20 min up, then 20 min down, off and on). Plus I was working as a YMCA ChildWatch teacher.

Isaac was born at 41 weeks and 1 day, weighing in at 6lbs 13.5oz and 20.5in. So the low weight factor was part of that birth. At 36, weeks he was only 4lbs and 3oz by u/s. He grew on my right side. I think by going on bedrest helped him bake longer and grow more.

Carson was born at 39 weeks and 4days, weighing in at 7lbs 13oz and 20in. Normal size. He grew on my left side.

I never got any periods but I did spot at 5/6weeks for Isaac (implantation).
With Carson, I spotted at 8 weeks (implantation), then again at 24 weeks, and again at 30 weeks but was caused by an irritable uterus.

I had fast labors too. Isaac was 5 hours and Carson was 2.5 hours. I dialated well too for each appt (starting at 37 weeks). I got up to 4cm with Isaac before I went into labor (but 6cm at hospital) and 5cm for Carson (but 6-7cm at hospital).
