How will you tell???

This is usually a fun topic to post so I thought I'd give it a shot...

Have any of you thought about (or already decided) what you will do to tell people (DH included if he doesn't find out with you) that you are pregnant?

With my 1st I found out while DH was at work- and it was Valentine's Day- so the V.day card read "To a wonderful Husband...Who's going to make a wonderful Daddy!" and I showed him the test. With my Mom we let my brother (who was 15 at the time) show her the test and pretend it was his GF's...my DH took it after a few min and said, "wait, that looks like the test Brandy took today!"

Not the sweetest way to tell BUT it was fun!

With my 2nd I could not believe that we were successful the 1st time and I had already had

before the

so I kinda just called DH to the bathroom and showed him- he was equally in disbelief! We did the classic "Big Brother in 2005" shirt for DS to wear for my Mom and step Dad and also my MIL.

Not sure what I want to do this time...but I do want to do something nice to let our family and friends know because it will be our last time.

So, what have you done/will you do???

I was thinking of getting my dog the "I'm the big brother" shirt. Everyone knows that my dog is my child.

BUT I found picture frames that say "A miracle waiting to be seen" so we're going to wait until we've had our first ultrasound and stick the picture in there wrap it up and give one to everyone. If I end up not being able to wait for our first ultrasound I'm going to use one of those digital pg test and take a picture of the word "pregnant" and put that in there.

I'm not planning on doing this, but I've always loved what "Rebecca" did for "Jesse" years ago on "Full House". When she found out she was pg she made him a special dinner of baby back ribs, baby corn, baby peas and baby carrots. And I think she had milk to drink. Since it was a comedy, of course, he didn't get it. But I always thought it was cute.

I'd love to tell dh in a really special way, but I think I may be too excited to hold it in long enough to carry out any plans. Plus, my mom lives next door, so I might run over to her house at 5:30am after getting a

screaming the good news.

I think I'll get a father's day card for DH and save it until I get a

(hopefully next month). For my parents and MIL and everyone else, I think I'll wait until we go for the first ultrasound. It hurt too bad to share bad news this past time. Grandparents' day isn't until September 9, so that might be a good time to share the new with our parents. I am so freakin' excited about being able to TTC in July, so maybe I'll pass time by making a baby blanket or scrapbook. Wish us luck.

PS-- I really love the idea about using your brother to tell the parents. My brother is 21, and it'd totally freak out the parents. tee hee.

Krissy- I love that ep of Full House! I have that season on DVD! (Is that dorky)

I don't know how we will tell, but we like to make DVD's of pics and video we take of trips. So I thought we could make one of some recent trip, but have it get static-y and flash to a pic of the test and maybe a video at our first appt, or ultrasound screen. Or we thought of nonchalantly walking in to the room where my/his parents are wearing 'Due In' tees.

Kara, I loooooved Full House!!! I never ever missed an episode when I was little (okay, not little per se, but younger than I am now). When a family member of mine announced her pregnancy, she made a collage of pics entitled "What we did on Spring Break" and in the middle of the collage was a pic of her positive pregnancy test. Similar to your DVD idea!!

I love Full House too, I actually have seasons 1,2,and 4! I want to get all of them! My sister and I used to watch them all the time when we were younger too. Now that they are on DVD, we are collecting them! It is so funny to watch them now...some things are so silly, but were sooo cool in the late 80's!! Jesse and Becky are my favorite characters!

Now you are going to think I am totally obsessed...we went to a few tapings in Culver City (where the studio was near Hollywood) and I got Lori Loughlin's autograph!! I know I know...GROUPIE!! Oh well, It was fun!

Im not too sure how I would tell DH, I would probably just call him into the bathroom and show him right away... too exciting!! As for our parents it will happen with Ethan wearing the 'Big Brother' tee!!!! I cant wait!! Soo exciting!

I am hoping to get a BFP this month, and I should be able to test next wednesday since AF is due that date and I am praying HARD for a BFP!!!!
Our 2 year anniversary is June 25th, I would love to save the test or a picture of it. I would put it all in a gift bag with the test, and little baby things and give it to my DH on our anniversary. We both are soo anxious and excited, hoping to have a child soon. Oh and for our parents.... We are going to be moving back near family next year (around the time a baby would be due if PG now) and we will be renting a home from my parents, I thought I would nonchalantly ask if the rent would be higher for a family of 3 versus that of a family of 2. I think my Mom and Dad would be extatic. I can't wait!!!
I like the baby ribs and all too from the Full House, I loved that show too!!!
