Default Hey everyone

Hey all-

I am so confused. I am TTC since end of October after coming off BCP. Ovulated 2 weeks after coming off, and dont think I have ovulated since. I have been monitoring my CP which goes high, but dont have the EWCM which I used to have in abundance before BCP, and which I had in first cycle off BCP.

My doctor has done bloodwork which has all been fine, and I really don't want to have to start taking more medication (she has mentioned clomid). I am so mad at myself for going on the pill and can't help feelign that the pill has really messed me up and I am mad that no one warned me this could happen.

DH refuses to talk about us having any possible problems (he says to wait and it will happen when the time is right!) and all my friends already have one baby with some expecting number 2!

I am healthy aside from being like 75-100 lbs overweight and I just feel very down.

Sorry for the sad post but I really needed to vent a little!

Don't worry about apologizing, that's what we're all supposed to be here for, right? I wish I had some words of advice ro wisdom for you, but I'm still relatively new to this whole TTC things. I'm wishing you all the best though!

Hey Sweetie!! Don't worry, we all have to vent a little every now and then. I'd bet that you have PCOS, and starting metformin might get you to ovulate again. I bet you ovulated regular right after stopping the pill because the hormones where still in your system (they stay in there for up to 3 months) and that's why your body knew what to do.

I have PCOS and they only thing that got me to ovulate regularily was Metformin. You should look over at the TTC with PCOS board here on sheknows, there are alot of helpful hints on what Metformin is and what the side effects are. It is actually used for diabetics to help with blood sugar, and the bigger we get, the more resistant to insulin we become. The Metformin helps with that.

All my blood tests for PCOS came back semi normal, but check over on the PCOS board for what the other symptoms are, mine are irregular and long cycles, kinda hairy (sides of face), overweight, cycles of annovulation(not ovulating).

Try not to get too frustrated, the average time it take to TTC is 3 months. So some gals take a bit longer and some take a bit longer. And just coming of BCP isn't neccessarily the problem, but the Dr's do say that it takes about 3 months for the hormones to get out of your system and some dr's actually recommend waiting those 3 months before TTC. And getting assistance in the form of Clomid or Metformin or whatever your dr decides isn't all that bad, it might speed up the process.

Good luck, and keep up updated to how you are doing!!

Thanks so much everyone!
Had a good cry to DH last night and he finally was able to listen to my concerns without getting upset that I wasn't being positive.. Am feeling much better today.

Kimi- I have been tested for PCOS, which I def don't have according to my bloodwork. Also before going on the pill I had regular periods and ovulation- the last cycle was my first ever annovulatory cycle... My doctor seems to think it is all related to the pill, which really sucks!

Hey, sorry I am posting so late I don't know what to tell you as I'm not O'ing right now either. I haven't taken the pill in so long, but I did do depo provera. It took me 2 yrs & a m/c to get pg after that. I wasn't against meds, I did take clomid for 1 cy only & it actually got my body O'ing again. I quit taking it cause I didn't like the hot flashes.
