Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
If so, how far apart in age will they be? We are TTA for now but I want to TTC soon... what kind of age differences will your kids have? Or, ideally, after you TTC #1, when would you TTC #2?

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
We aren't TTC right now, but DS#1 and DD are 30 months apart, and DD and DS#2 will be approx 25 months apart. The age difference between DS #1 and DD was perfect, and I don't know yet how the spacing will be between DD and DS#2, we'll find out next year!

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
Well, I'll definitely count my blessings when #1 comes along. Ideally I'd have about 2-3 years between kids, but who knows.... There is 8 years between me and my sister and that's too much - we didn't really grow up together. She got married when I was 13/14 so she started her own life then.

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
We are TTC #2. We would have been TTC earlier but DH was always gone out to sea. (military) We would have liked for our kids to be about 2-3 years apart. But as it stands now, DS will be four years old before another arrives. *sigh* That is fine though. It just means he will be a big help and that he will really enjoy playing with a little one.

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
Hi,
We're ttc our 3rd child. Our DS and DD are 2 1/2 years apart. I like this age difference because they play with each other and have fun together. If we get pregnant soon our DD and baby number 3 will be 4 1/2 years apart. I would like them to be closer but we thought we were done and then decided we wanted one more.

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
We've been trying to conceive for over a year which would have been a good age difference if I would have gotten pg then. Now they're going to be at least 5 years apart. Oh, well. What's meant to be is meant to be.

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
I like the 5.5 yr age gap between my first two. Dd is from a prev. relationship so I wanted to make sure I was in a secure one w/ a real future before bringing another baby into the world. We would like ds and the next baby to go to highschool together. We know it will be hard for a while, but we really think it will be benefical for the kids.

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
I was here in 2003 and got pregnant with our son Sam, luckily, on the first cycle. We are here again waiting to TTC until March 2008, but lurking in the mean time. Our son will be 4 1/2 years old when we have our next baby, if we get pregnant in March. I can not imagine having them closer together because he is so much fun and very helpful now. A real joy!

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
We are TTC#3 right noe, if I got PG this last cycle (I'll know in a few days..) then #2 adn #3 would be 28 months apart. DS and DD are 25 months apart. At first I asn't sure I'd like having them so close, but it's been really nice. I wanted to wait to TTC#3 til summer of 08, but DH adn I both just got a feeling we needed to try now. So.... we'll see.

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
My first two are 15.5 months apart and it was hard. We're hoping to have another baby in the next year or so and that will be about a 3 year gap between 2 & 3 and a 4.5 year gap between 1 & 3.

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
Hi, I'm new here. I'm Brittany. I'm 23 and I am the mother of two wonderful children and trying for my 3rd. Sorry, I'm not really up to date with the lingo on these things. But any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
Hi I am a newbie here, By th time i get pregnant Dh will be nearing his 6th. birthday, there was a m/c in between. I am now feeling a little guilty for not closing in the gap. But sometimes life has other plans for us. DS will be ok with it he can't wit unti, I do get pregnant.
We have been TTC #2 for 3 months now and I am hoping to catch the egg in the next 2 weeks.

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
Ds and dd are 34 mths apart. I love it. We honestly wanted them closer, but it just didn't happen. Now I can't imagine them being closer....just hoping to add a third soon...that would put them all right around 3 years apart.

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
I m new here too, though I was on the DIO boards when I was pregnant with DS. We are hoping to get pregnant this spring/summer so that would put a 3 year gap between Ethan and the baby. I am hoping that we will get pregnant soon after we try, 3-4 years is the largest gap I would want between children.

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
My first two are 16 months apart, and it has never been hard for me, it's like having twins now that they're toddlers. My youngest will be 2 1/2 by the time #3 gets here.

Re: Anyone trying to conceive more kids?
Im also new here
My kids are 11 years 1 month old, 7 years 3 months old, and 4 years 6 months old. LOL, I was aiming for 2 years apart for the first three...decided against having anymore after the last one. Now, here I am hoping for a October baby. There are definate advantages and disadvantages of any age difference.
