Icon5 Anyone ever have an anovulatory cycle?

I think that is what I have just had. It has never happened to me before. I just started spotting about two days ago and I never ovulated according to my chart and temps. I just don't know what to expect now for this cycle.

ALL of my cycles are annovulatory unless I take Clomid....... and even sometimes then it is annovulatory. Usually your bleeding isn't as heavy, or at least mine isn't. Makes getting preggo VERY difficult!!

i had a random anno. cycle back in 2004, i had some light-medium bleeding and then ended up ovulating the next cycle, it was so weird and out of the blue that it surprised me! I normally ovulate EVERY cycle so it was bizarre, i dont think once or twice in a blue moon is anything to worry about, Jen!! I might be having one this cycle too, i have no idea whats up with my temps and these nosedives its doing...who knows...try not to worry about it, sucks when you are TTC but im sure everything will go back on track now!

Hang in there Jen! I agree w/ Amie in thinking that sometimes it's just something that happens- a fluke here and there, ya know? Sometimes it can happen when there is a stressful situation going on (don't know your personal business but thought I'd throw it out there ) and, even though the doctor told me there would be no delay post BCPs, I totally believe that it took me months to O after going off of those things!

I've shared that story once or twice before so I won't get all into it but, yeah, short story is that I had spotting off and on- no rhyme or reason til once month I was just regulated. Good news is that I still got pg w/in that "magic" 1 yr window they say is the norm.

I say- let's see what this month brings you! Hopefully last cy was just a fluke (frustrating, I know) but...here's to a egg filled cy this time around!!!

I usually have annovulatory cy's too. The metformin got me to O before getting pregnant with Jailee. And this time around my weight loss is what helped, but I was, and still am, overweight. (My 37 lb weight loss now makes me about 30 to 35 pounds overweight.)

I don't think your Annov. cy has anything to do with mine, so I hope it was a fluke and you drop a couple of eggs this time around!

thanks girls. I think you are right and I was just so stressed about getting pg right away. So that was surely not helping. I feel like I am on a timeline because I want to get the most time off possible. I teach so if I have an April or even May baby then I get my mat leave and the summer.

Now I am thinking what if I drop two eggs this time to make up for it...twins? I doubt it. Its just a funny thing to think about. My dh would die!
