Default re appt update

Firstly, connection went this morning, will try to post from library/my mums when I can.

After some kerfuffle about them possibly losing my records, we finally saw the RE (different one this time, we've always had stand-ins so far, now we get the proper one) who was very nice. He didnt have my latest tests results, but luckily I'd brought them. All my b/work shows nothing but PCOS. He did a trans V U/S, which showed both ovaries with classic 'string of pearls' cysts as it should be as per PCOS

So, Metformin it is to start with, and weight loss. I get the met from my DR next week, and increase the dose gradually. I also have to try to lose weight (They weighed me in at 201 !!)
We go back in 3 months (6th May) to re-assess my weight loss, met reaction and cy changes/af visits. If no improvement, then we do clomid as well. hopefully we will do great on the met alone.

We arent inducing af, just going to start the met and wait it out. He covered alot of the old niggles, but I'll have to cover them another time.

I'll catch up when I can, all in all we're really happy with the appt and the outcome to all

I hope that all goes well! I'm glad that you got to see the "real" doctor.

I hope everything works out. I understand the PCOS thing, it sucks! A friend of mine who was over weight & has PCOS was on glucophage and it help her lose the weight and get PG. I don't see many people on that though.

thanks girls. My DR has to prescribe it, so she's waiting on the letter from my RE, but I could be starting as early as monday I weighed 201 at the appt with clothes etc, which is always 4lbs more than my weight first thing in the am, I've lost 4 lbs since then (in a week).
Our car is still in the garage, but we have a rental (which our garage gives out for free, we only have to pay petrol for what we use ) so at least we can get around. We dont have any internet at home, and it's porbably going to be the end of the month before we have it again, but I'm checking in and out on my mums and at the library.
Hope everyone is ok
