Default New here!

Hello Everyone!

As you can see I am new here. I'm not really sure what I am looking for from here but looking through all of the messages showed me how supportive all of you are of each other. I'm almost 21 and I'm still in college, I'm not married and my boyfriend is in the same boat with me (in college and almost 21). We are very serious about each other and recently have talked a lot about having children and trying now. Which we have been doing. This is my last year of college and then I'm off into the real world. I know that this isn't the best time for me to want to have a baby but its the one thing I have always died for.

My sister has PCOS and I'm terrified that I may have it. I get a check up each year and they have found nothing. I also have an irregular period which the cycle is normally 55 days instead of 28. I had my first pelvic ultrasound when I was 13 and then another when I was 19 to check for PCOS but they found nothing. I don't want to be an older mother when I have my first child and I want to be able to at least try now to see what comes from it. That way if something is wrong then I will have plenty of time to fix it.

I'm sorry this is such a long introduction and I really hope to get some great advice from all of you. I suppose I'm a pretty confused woman on what to do right now as well as scared to death that its going to be hard for me to have my own children.

Any advice or comments are welcome! I would love to hear from as many as possible! Thanks for reading, I appreciate it.

Welcome! As far as it being a bad time for you to be ttc, I really don't think that's true I don't believe in "a right time". I think the timing is right when you want a baby and feel like trying. Hopefully your health is good and I wish you luck with that all. I'm fairly new here to and these amazing women have taught me a lot also. If you have any thoughts or questions, ask/tell.

Thanks for welcoming me. I agree with what you said about their not being a specific "right time" to have a baby. If you want one and are willing to make the sacrifices to raise the child the way that he/she deserves to be raised then go for it. I'm hoping things will pan out for me the way that I would like but only time will tell. How old are you if you don't mind me asking.
