Intro
I just posted one in the sticky but I thought that this would be better. I'm Crystal and I was diagnosed with PCOS on Nov/01/2006. DBF and I decided not prevent pregnancy anymore.

Re: Intro
Thank you for the welcome! I am charting. My chart is kind of funny looking right now because forgot to take my temp during my first part of the cycle and I also woke up late on some weekends. I will post the link in my siggy soon.
BTW, have you been tested for PCOS? I was reading some of your other posts and is seems that you have extremely long cycles.

Re: Intro
ya my cycles seem to be getting longer for some reasion. my last doc dident test for PCOS i dontknow if he just dident get to that part of the infertility testing or if he just dident think it was necessary. DH has recently changed jobs so we havent been able to get inshurance though the new company yet i hope when we are able to get the new inshurance that they will cover some infertility testing and we can figure out whats going on. i had talked ot a friend of mine who is a RN and midwife dula etc and she said she also thinks i might have a mild case of PCOS its something i want to bring up with the doc when we get the new inshurance.

Re: Intro
It is defnately worth taking a look into it. It stinks that you don't have insurance right now. Once you have it I would bring that up to the doc. I know that there are some doctors who are very reluctent to test for PCOS.

Re: Intro
My doctor first wanted to eliminate that it wasn't an issue with my thyroid, so I went for that bloodwork in about July/2006. Everything with my thyroid was normal.
Then I mentioned that I would like to see a gyno and wanted a referral. My doctor didn't want to send me to someone else so they sent me for more bloodwork. I have PCOS due to insulin resistence. Luckily I don't have a hormone inbalance. I wasn't really eating alot of sugars or anything like that but I did have to modify my diet slightly. Sometime they will give an ultrasound as well to see if there are cysts on the ovaries but I haven't had to do that yet.

Re: Intro
I already had my thyroid checked and the doc told me it was normal. they also did a glucose test which came back fine. they did a 24 hour urine analisis but i dont know what that was for. they also checked m hormone levels but they only did it once at the begining of my cycle so something could be going on with that later in my cycle after ovulation. so now i begin wating to see if we caught the egg and if we mannage to get pregnant. I really hope so we have been trying for so long
