I used to do a lot of baking with my grandmother when I was little before she moved 3 hours away. Mostly cookies, cakes and occasionally fudge. She pretty much taught me my way around a kitchen and I self-taught when I got older. I like making home made chicken nuggets, Joe loves them too =)

Re: Chatty Thread
I guess I'll jump in over here, although I'm not sure how active I can possibly be. Life on my end is insane, and even more so since everyone in our family seems to keep getting sick. But DH and I are TTC baby #4!

Sometimes I think I believe but other times I am skeptical.
QOTD
What is your biggest pet peave?
Mine is when people make fun of the TV shows while I am watching them, live with my fiance and his brother and they both make so much noise during my shows I could kill them!

Re: Chatty Thread
So how is everyone over here?
What is your biggest pet peave?
I have too many to pick just one, to be honest. But I am a very picky driver. I hate people that talk on ther cells while driving, and if you can't use your blinker, get the heck off the road.

Oh I know, I am usually the passenger but I am still so aggravated when people cut us off or don't use their blinkers, or worse don't put their lights on!!
So is there anything new in your life?
I am dealing with some tough stuff, room mates and drama. I am trying to be nice and let my fiance's brother stay with us but I can't hardly take it anymore. I also don't want to be the one to cause a rift between them.

Re: Chatty Thread
What isn't new in our life? We've got a lot on our plate right now. We're house hunting for our very first home! It's exciting, but at the same time so emotionally draining. We put an offer on a house we loved only to be out-bid at the last minute and I was pretty devastated. It's a stressful thing. And our lil' babe is 5 months old today! The time goes by so fast, I'm just in shock right now.
But I know what you mean with roommate drama. My SIL and her family have been staying with us because of a few things going on, and it's been hard. I don't want t blame her, because it's by no means her fault, but it's wearing down everyone and tensions are so high you could cut the air with a knife.

Re: Chatty Thread
Your babe is so cute, and I hope you get a wonderful house!
It is hard to us to have romantic time when his brother is always around. Nothing makes me more upset than someone interrupting the baby dance, especially just to ask if he can have some of our food.
I am coming up on the six month marker since we had our miscarriage, and it feels like we are never going to get pregnant. It is only our third month of SERIOUS trying, but hearing my friends talk about their third or fourth pregnancy makes it tough sometimes.
We have made a baby dance schedule on our kitchen calendar...hoping it will give the hint to his brother that we have made plans.
It is a fun thing for us to make each time special and romantic and we have a ton of laughs.
Does anyone else find themselves in a giggle fit in the middle of the babydance?

Re: Chatty Thread
Thank you She's a delight to have in the house. Hopefully you get your soon, having a baby really does change everything.
It's also been a little challenging being romantic lately with my SIL in the house, but it's also hard with the girls period. Finding any time at all can be hard enough as it is. I can't imagine what it's like, TTC'ing after a miscarriage. But it takes it's time. I'm definitely sending you all the positive vibes that I can.

Re: Chatty Thread
Thank you for the vibes!
At least I know I am not the only one dealing with tension.
My cat is getting ready to have kittens any day now, so we will have babies here soon!

Re: Chatty Thread
We already have three cats, I want to keep one of the kittens. I am a sucker for cute kittens. I am not sure how long we will end up having the rest of them here, it usually takes a while to find homes for animals around here. I just hope they are as cute at the parents.

Re: Chatty Thread
Well, if we were anywhere near the area, I would gladly adopt one or two! I can never say no to a kitty. It's a miracle that we don't have a houseful of them. Right now, it's just the one.

Re: Chatty Thread
So do you have any pets?
I love animals. It is so nice to have a kitty to curl up with when you are having a bad day.

Re: Chatty Thread
I love animals We have the one cat, and DH has a horse. But right now we're living on the IL's property, and they own a vineyard/ranch so there is no shortage of animals around here.

Re: Chatty Thread
IF I could have all of the pets I wanted we would have a small zoo.

Re: Chatty Thread
That's pretty much I feel. But then again, we pretty much do have a zoo here as it is.
